For a guy who has never actually boxed a boxer, it's not a horrible option. Can't believe I have to stick up for Paul, but it's clear you are an even bigger idiot than he is.

Every single fighter besides like Loma, Bivol, and Beterbiev (because there turned pro hella old) have padded records for pretty much up to 20 or so fights. Are you new to boxing?

OK, let's hear who would be satisfactory to you.

Why hell neither of you have endurance and he has no chin after his is gone, it's a pick'em fight providing he wasn't paid off.

So, supposed “boxing fans” are now up in arms about his selection? Easy opponent? Set up? Padded record? Have you folks watched a single moment of boxing or know anything about the sport at all!?! Almost EVERY boxer with the exception of a few are placed with fighters with less than stellar records to break their feet into the pro ranks. His record is indicative of how fighters are typically progressed. However, real boxing fans should know this because that’s how 99% have been done since the start of this sport.

Rahman has also had 100 amateur bouts. So, as a first pro boxing match, Paul had picked a 13 fight pro with one loss and 100 amateur bouts. You’re not going to find this today. It’s EXTREMELY rare you’ll see this in someone’s first professional fight. I expect him to lose but he’s got brass ones.
I’ve missed your posts devil….this forum is light on ground pounders

I've got no issue with Paul, actually think he started out OK and still learning, he can punch. As it stands now, I think his career track is OK given he has no background and rematched the disputed fight and got the KO.

Rahman Jr. could be a good opponent, but now I see they're friends. That's not unheard of BUT

my mind rewinds to Rahman Sr.-Monte Barrett.

That fight could have been a wink-wink situation. They revealed they were "cousins" after the fight. Still one of the most boring HW fights I can ever remember. People who saw the fight on PPV will never forget it even though nothing happened

Rock definitely didn’t have 100 ammy fights. I’d be surprised if he had 30 tbh. And he lost more than he’s won .

Canelo's first 10+ opponents were utter **** and had losing records or debut. As do most fighters with no amateur records. This is a quality challenge for Paul.
