Well at least he's fighting a boxer with some type of name recognition amongst boxing folks(even if it's his old man's name). Probably his safest bet to fight someone he's sparred before. Even so by experience, Rahman has some skill and is by far his biggest threat. This could very well end Paul's clown show and in an ugly way.

Psychotic? Embarrassing. I feel embarrassed like when I see a dog pooping and laugh at it.

Not sure who exactly people want Paul to fight if not this level of boxer who has over double the fights Paul does and would have faced competition more of a threat than Paul has to thisnoint. In every way this is a step up in competition. Sounds like the people who don’t like Paul for whatever reason they don’t are just preparing themselves for a Paul win

Exactly, optics are the only thing that matters to Jake Paul's boxing career right now. Everything else is smoke and mirrors to gas himself up as he improves his average skillset.

I swear, just when I thought supposed “boxing fans” couldn’t sound more mentally challenged, they never disappoint. Casuals can’t stand not being seen or known. Up to this point, Paul hasn’t fought a single pro fight. I don’t consider his other fights to this point professional fights because he hasn’t fought a single boxer. This one is it.

So, supposed “boxing fans” are now up in arms about his selection? Easy opponent? Set up? Padded record? Have you folks watched a single moment of boxing or know anything about the sport at all!?! Almost EVERY boxer with the exception of a few are placed with fighters with less than stellar records to break their feet into the pro ranks. His record is indicative of how fighters are typically progressed. However, real boxing fans should know this because that’s how 99% have been done since the start of this sport.

Rahman has also had 100 amateur bouts. So, as a first pro boxing match, Paul had picked a 13 fight pro with one loss and 100 amateur bouts. You’re not going to find this today. It’s EXTREMELY rare you’ll see this in someone’s first professional fight. I expect him to lose but he’s got brass ones.

Extremely good opponent, much better than Fury. Definitely a test for Paul.

I personally have no issue with this fight, Rahman checks some of the boxes here. Can the man be bought though? Some have raised the question of the friendship between the 2. It's valid, we seen Scott take a dive for Wilder and boxers have taken dives for money for decades. I am willing to give the benifit of the doubt here, Paul wins there is no stepping backwards from here. Would I pay to watch it, f**k no, I would actually give him credit if I read he won though. Still believe it's a flop for Showtime though.

How many are doing it headlining PPVs though? You want people to dish out $75 or $80 more is asked of you plain and simple. It' quite funny how you say "supposed boxing fans" when you are defending a guy with zero credentials headlining a PPV. Are paying for this?
