Buatsi has a chance to win but I don’t think he will, and when his own coach says he’s not ready that kind of speaks for itself.

Don’t care for zurdo one bit, but buatsi is one or two levels below him. If we aren’t getting the unification, Bivol should be fighting zurdo. I don’t think Bivol is at any risk of losing, so why not stay busy and keep sharp with the next most competent opponent? With an added perk of appealing to the Mexican crowd. Zurdo turned down the Bivol fighter earlier in the year I believe, hopefully he can make it happen this time.

Why has Bivol's team done everything to avoid fighting Zurdo?

Hearn wants buatsi because it’s 4 birds with one stone. 1. Easy fight for bivol while they wait for canelo rematch 2. Gives buatsi his shot and a loss to bivol rn won’t diminish his future potential too much as this is probably as big a fight as buatsi will ever get 3. Ducks Ramirez…again. Not saying Ramirez would win but it’s a dangerous fight and Hearn knows it 4. Ducks the beterbiev fight..also a fight I like bivol in ur it’s not a cakewalk and much more dangerous than the canelo rematch. Just puts everything on hold while we wait for canelo to beat down GGG then lose to bivol again. This process will take at LEAST one year. Cold hard facts folks

Annoying that the Beterbiev vs Bivol match up isn’t on the table, that’s the only fight to make. I don’t see that Zurdo has been avoided by Bivol, there is no evidence that I have seen to suggest this. De La Hoya seems to not like his fighters to take on 50/50 fights on the regular, if you look at Munguia, Garcia, Ramirez and their career trajectory. He also castigated Hearn for putting Canelo in a 50/50 fight with Bivol recently.

Canelo/bivol was not a 50/50 fight if you’d ever seen them both fight. Canelo always only had a punchers chance bivol is 300-10 as an amateur and has been nothing short of stellar as a pro. He’s a great LHW canelo is a great MW. Canelo never had a chance

It's just easier for him to spell than Buatsi.

I’d disagree, Canelo was the betting, boxing experts and casuals favourite.

Bivol won't risk the canelo pay day by fighting Beterbiev before next May.

Hearn will. It's DLH. He had no problems making Ortiz v McKinson. But when his fighter isn't an overwhelming favourite, he's not interested. Does the p in GBP stand for protection?
