Not really buying it, gotta give some names my man. Where are these supreme boxers that never turned pro? If he’s just talking out of his àss, as I suspect he is, then he’s really just a petty bitçh hell-bent on not giving canelo any credit.Comment

Quality post. You hit the nail **** on the head.Canelo is a great fighter but He has had favorable judging
He has definitely done PEDs. He was caught for clen but the speed of his gains at times strongly suggests he has done others.
how you feel about him tends to be influenced by how much weight you attach to these two realities.Comment

What difference does it make? The guy probably ain't even a professional so it's not even like the wider boxing community will know him.Comment

Shouldn't have to do this for you.
Abel said the exact same thing we've constantly said. That's his OWN trainer acknowledging that Gennadiy lost and WHY he lost.
If the judges see you getting walked down Mexican Style, you're going to take an L. He SHOULD have had an L against Derevyancheko for the same reason; he's vulnerable when he's getting walked down because he can't fight going backward like he does when he's going forward.
It goes back to something that Kenny Porter has repeatedly said: their job is to convince the judges. That's all it is. That means you have to be the guy the judges think you should be, and if you don't, you're going to lose. That's what Abel is effectively saying.
It's why Srisaket lost against Estrada; why Porter lost against Crawford; why Manny lost against Ugas and Floyd; why Bradley lost in the third Manny fight; why Choco lost to Srisaket; why Mikey lost to Spence; why Keef lost to Manny; Breidis lost to Opetaia; Joshua lost to Usyk; etc etc etc.
You have ONE job. Show up and convince judges you should get your hand raised. Along the way, a knockout or stoppage may present itself, but you can't count on it at the top level. So...do your job, convince the judges.
Golovkin did NOT convince judges in the second fight because he chose to fight the wrong fight. Boxing Canelo was ****** because Golovkin is not Bivol; it's not his strength. He needed to fight Canelo the way we suspect Beterbiev would have. Aggressive. He didn't.
It'd be like telling Chris Algieri to go be a knockout artist.Comment

Your own video shows Sanchez thought Golovkin won. At 4:19 he says he thought Golovkin won both fights. He says he can see why the judges would favor Canelo but he still says he thought they won both fights.

Selective hearing.
He straight says he told G not to box Canelo because the judges would score against him and G didn't listen.
It's the judges that matter, and Abel tried to prevent what he knew was going to happen (his guy losing).Comment
