I can't take that Markowski character seriously with his teenage boy band haircut.

      Arum calls DAZN Dead Zone.
Bobfather wants Yarde for Beterbiev next.
Yarde is with Frank Warren, so that explains why.

Funny part is Beterbiev wants Bivol.

So who is the boss, Arum or Beterbiev?

Arum is a huge part of the problem and always has been in boxing . He’s also 90 so bringing great fights to fans probably isn’t on his top list as much as his ego in personal dislikes for people ,he’s going to go out his own way unfortunately the real boxing fan knows boxing will be better off without someone like him and he’s not the only one . There’s a few guys not many that like going out of their way to block fights .

I find it hard hard rooting for top Rank or PBC fighters when fighters aren’t on these platforms fights get made much easier .

Hearn said his boys can travel. Beterbiev has 3 belts. Bivol is not a star. Just make the fight. Even if Beterbiev beats him, he still has the Canelo rematch for big money.

I was thinking the same thing. It appears that markowski may take a more direct “promoter” role for dazn like Espinosa has for showtime in getting fights made. It looks like dazn arnt happy with where their direction has gone in the usa and want to be a bit more diplomatic than the promoters they are currently working with

Having followed boxing and seen the way it’s developed for the last 40 years or so, stuff like this comes as no real surprise although it is refreshing to hear a promoter actually spell it out and be honest about it.

Boxing promoters have been corrupt and dodgy since the dawn of time. They all have or have had crime links. They all game the system and protect their own little ivory towers to one degree or another. I think PBC are the worst followed by Golden Boy and Top rank. I think they’re all hostile to DAZN in particular as the newcomer to the market trying to establish a bigger foothold with the lucrative US market with a lot of financial clout behind them. Yes they may not do as well as they’d like in the US at the moment but what a lot of US fans and to an extent promoters fail to appreciate is that the buck doesn’t stop with the US. There’s a lot of money to be made in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world and whilst DAZN hasn’t yet made its impact over there, it’s still hosting a lot elsewhere and making a ton of money. Clearly by now it’s no flash in the pan.

One partial solution would be to get rid off all the alphabet belts. Until that happens this stand off between promoters will always happen. The difficulty there is that no one promoter is willing to start that ball rolling. If it were any other sport, governments and legislation would kick in but as boxing had deeply entrenched links with crime and corruption it’s grown up to avoid these issues and unlikely to change. Promoters have no incentive to change the system and neither do the governing bodies. Whilst we continue to have a multi belt system it will never change.

The undisputed champions need to all make a stand together - Usyk, Taylor, Haney, Canelo and drop all their belts in protest. That would make those belts meaningless. I would say keep the ring belt but with its affiliation to Golden Boy that’s no good either.

Fighters coming up would never do it. Fighters that have already made history and who have demonstrated they are the best in their division should. Why do sanctioning bodies charge hundreds of thousands of dollars to sanction a fight? They’re the ones ruining the sport not the promoters.

You wouldn’t have a clue. You aren’t a boxing fan. You are a fan of maybe 2/3 boxers at the very most. You hate fighters that have over shadowed the fighter you support. When you lose bets you disappear or claim you never struck said bet.

So what Bob actually said is he doesn't see any point in the fight being on DAZN, because they have **** viewership. Which is true.

There's no reason the fight can't happen on ESPN. But then little Joe wouldn't like that, would he?
