It's because Tito was a top p4p fighter at the time after beating Oscar. Bernard had a bunch of title defenses, but he hadn't unified yet, or stepped up his competition.

People take that p4p sht far too seriously.
but would this be bigger than Pacman over Oscar???

    i think so

I agree that the p4p rankings are focused on way too much. Are the odds really at 4:1 now? That seems a bit much considering the level of opposition that Marquez has faced, and the layoff that Floyd has had. I thought a couple months ago it was 2:1? If 4:1 is the case, I may have to place a bet on Marquez. As much as I like Floyd, want him to win, and think he will win, there is no way in hell I could pass up those kinds of odds against an opponent like Marquez, I don't care if they were fighting at heavyweight!

Huge upset. Almost on level with Pacquiao-De La Hoya, but it's the way Pac beat him that made it such a shocker.

It would be quite big, but Marquez seems to be getting a better chance as the fight gets nearer.

It should be, DLH hadn't made WW in a decade, which is also how long it had been since he peaked at #1 p4p. JMM and Pac both came up two weight classes, but Floyd is fighting at his most comfortable weight.

The extra two pounds tips the scales even further in Floyd's direction, since there's no possibility for him being weight drained at all.

It would be the biggest fluke ever. The gap between Floyd and Marquez > the gap between Tyson and Douglas. In other words, it ain't going to happen.

Douglas only won that fight on the long count anyway.

Pacquiao over Oscar wasnt an upset at all. It wont be a bigger upset than Tyson Douglas. But I do think it would be the biggest upset of the last half decade or so.

lmao, pbf will come in EASILY over 150 tonight and JMM will still be at 142 or less.

Tyson v Douglas would slide down to 2nd biggest upset after JMM win.

32:1 is about how many people bet on Tyson v how many people bet on Douglas, plus Douglas actually had added motivation with his mom and all...which usually plays a factor, see DLH.

What we have here is a 2 weight class disparity with a guy who's never even been close to this weight in his entire career.

This should be the number 1 upset in maybe any sport to date!
