If I’m counting correct these Eastern Europeans you speak of only have 3 champions and that’s combining 10 countries with over 200M population. If I’m correct 8 is more than 3. Are there loads of Eastern European fighters at cruiser? Certainly this would have been true in the era of Gassiev, Usyk etc - and the best cruiser remains Eastern European (for now, we'll see how much he's aged on Saturday) - but I'd have good money on there being more UK cruiserweight world champions at year's end than Eastern Europeans. It could even be the UK takeover of cruiserweight boxing next (already got a titlist in Okolie, Riakporhe and Billam-Smith up there, Massey the IBO champ et al)
