To be fair, Golovkin's opponents haven't been of that great quality since the second Canelo fight, but Murata was a decent opponent.

In terms of payday, I don't think Golovkin needs this money. He got paid so much by Dazn already. But with the closely fought fights they had, it's not bad at all for them to have one more fight.

I think it is probably Gennady's final fight, win, lose or draw.

After GGG II, Canelo “cherrypicked” Bivol, Jacobs, Kovalev, BJS, Callum Smith, Plant. None of the other fighters from 160 to 175 have a better list of fighters in that same span. None of them. Not even close.
Canelo has challenged himself more than anyone else including Inoue, Bud, Spence, usyk (close) but Canelo is not a natural lhw and prob should be at 160. The caveat is that being who he is he can get the fights, they line up to fight him.
but on this website before every fight against Smith, BJ's, and plant and Kov, there were at least some posters who thought he'd lose.
The reality is that just since ggg2 his run is approaching hof

Alvarez added that it gives him extra satisfaction knowing that he made Golovkin wait for four years for a shot at revenge – all while doing so on his own terms, in his desired weight class.

        “It makes me feel good,”
bro, honestly, Canelo is the a$$hole here smh.

It would be bittersweet but I would love to see G go out on top. I also wouldn’t mind if he beats Canelo and than has an official farewell fight.

Then why did you give him the pay day Canelo, while at the same time claiming Benavidez needs to fight someone?

Canelo talking all that noise bc he knows Ggg is 40 and his skills have declined and eroded since the rematch. Butt-hurt Canelo sure didnt want the smoke from Ggg in a 3rd fight anytime soon after the 2nd. He will beat Ggg and may stop him…but will get zero cred from real boxing fans.
