I have no doubt that's the fight most fans want.
Would Kambosos agree to step aside?
Would Haney even want the Lomachenko fight?
Who would you pick if you were Haney?

If I am Haney I am heading back to Australia for that easy money of course.
Kambosos could be swayed by some step aside $ and a home "get well" fight I bet.
I am not sure if Haney wants a Loma fight but there's not much else at 135 for him that's worth the time besides the big names and Loma is the one on this side of the street. He is probably better off going to 140 if he doesn't feel like fighting Loma in the very near future.

I'd be very surprised if Kambosos didn't take the immediate rematch. There aren't any guarantees in boxing and he may never be in a position to fight for another belt again let alone all of them.

I doubt his mindset is "I may need a tuneup fight before taking on Haney again, let's swerve him this time". His skills may not match his confidence, but he does have alot of the latter.

Bob may want to let that one "marinate" a bit in lieu of more profitable matchups but if the contract stipulates immediate rematch in Australia, then that's what he will have to do barring some unforseen circumstances.

          My perspective:

Bob is an astute lawyer. I'm sure he can even argue "Act of God" or other similar stipulations found in contract law. Reason: Nobody wants to see it again, period. I'm sure that feeling is mutual worldwide. No revenue, no pay. It's beyond Arum's control. There's something called common law.

Why would anyone sentence the public to see that borefest again? I personally wouldn't watch it. Not curious at all. Mr. Kambosos is a bum. Some judges follow boxing, or can do research in 30 minutes. That's if Arum wants to go that way, hostile. He's stuck with the bill. It's how I see it, anyway, and I don't mind it. The original contract was an insult to Haney as well.

Maybe the Australian government can pay for everything, ESPN? I don't think so.

Screw all those fake belts. No disrespect to Haney.

Haney vs Tank would be the best fight if the rematch doesn't happen, don't you think?

I don't want to see it either but what the fans want may be irrelevant.

It comes down to three things: 1) does Kambosos want it? 2) What are the details of the contract? 3) Will Haney vacate and go up a division?

I'd argue Kambosos wants it and I doubt Haney vacates just yet. That leaves what are the details of the contract. Arum wanted control of those belts after Lomachenko went to war. He has it for the moment but at what price? I guess we will find out.

A lot of people are lined up for these trash belts as soon as they are dropped. Cruz will be a mandatory if he wins his next fight. Other boxers too.

I know you don't want it. I'm a mind reader. I knew exactly why posters say certain things.
You want Loma vs Haney to fight it out first. Question is what if Loma couldn't still make it,
which fight do you want for Haney? You'd still be against Tank vs Haney?

I never wanted Loma-Haney, never. A snoozefest. Great fight is Davis-Loma. Wanted it since 2017. Davis-Haney without those belts, I'm cool with.
