GGG Has Less Than 10% Chance of Beating Canelo

Its possible, but Canelo bounced right back from getting washed by Floyd. I don't think Canelo is mentally weak. If GGG starts off by doing some of the same things that Bivol was doing that gave him problems, it could introduce some doubts in his mind, but I would be shocked if GGG had the kind of gas tank to fight the kind of fight he would need to fight to win at his age.Comment

The fact that Golovkin pushed Canelos limits the first time, and still mounted a comeback late the 2nd time around, shows that Golovkin has more than a 10% chance.
Its like Marquez and Pac. Golovkin just knows how to push Canelo.Comment

Chad Dawson outlanded Jean Pascal in power punches. Jean Pascal rightfully won, because he outlanded Dawson in more rounds.
Castillo landed the bulk of his power punches in a very concentrated amount of rounds.
I know what you did. You googled “Mayweather vs Castillo compubox stats” on images, and that’s what you’re citing. That’s not how fights are scored. A common misconception. A lot of Mayweather critics bring that picture up, failing to realize Castillo gave away, easily, the first 5 or 6 rounds or so, then played catch up. This catchup was where he gained the “total” advantage over Mayweather. Mayweather still outlanded him in more rounds, which is what judges score.
Judges don’t retroactively score a fight based on the total amount of punches landed after 12 rounds.
In other words, Mayweather never allowed his opponent to outland him in power punches in more rounds.Comment

The fact that in the rematch, GGG was in a position to “mount a comeback” further shows that GGG’s chances vs Canelo were 100% overrated.
I mean go look at 2015-2017 threads. This guy was supposed to KO the Ginger in 6 rounds or less. Now he is getting points for “pushing” Canelo and “mounting a comeback”.
Lol. How the mighty have fallen.Comment

What is pushing a fighter to their limit is what Maidana and Castillo did to the favorite, Mayweather.
When you favored and gassed up to death about your abilities and how badly you’re going to KO the underdog, the least you can do is knock them down a few times and maybe struggle to a 11-12 round KO.
Not run around the ring, jabbing all night, getting outlanded in meaningful punches after yelling “Big drama show! Mexican style!” Throughout the pre-fight hype. Talking about you will KO Andre Ward and Carl Froch and can’t even KO a shorter, smaller, underdog who’s best win above 154lbs were a small Cotto at 155lbs and a good for nothing JCC Jr at a catchweight of 164lbs when he got in the ring with you at 160lbs.
Come on now. Let’s not revise what was being said before that first fight.Comment

Yeah...the odds leading up to the first fight were pretty even, with Golovkin being the slight favorite, with many people picking Canelo to win. Opinions and predictions changed as the months and years went on, as people were seeing enough of a decline in Golovkin to change how they viewed the potential fight a couple years earlier.Comment

The fact that GGG was favored to win, especially by KO, in the first fight and only managed to “push Canelo’s limits” in a 12 round fight with zero knockdowns, shows that GGG underperformed and Canelo did WAY better than his critics predicted.

I also remember a lot of people picked Canelo to beat Mayweather, so there’s that.
Canelo barely beat Lara. Underperformed. He was getting outboxed by Khan before Khan got clipped.
Most people thought GGG beat Canelo the first time around. He had Canelo boxing scared off the back foot. Regardless, was a close fight.
Anyone who picked GGG to steamroll Canelo, clearly had a bias against Canelo.
Please. Canelo’s underperformed in many of his biggest fights just as much if not more than GGG has in his.
GGG has much better chance than people think stop lying.Comment

Don't worry. There are a couple of fools out there who think he is still the fraudulent Mexican Style nonsense he and Unable Sanchez were promoting. Funny, he can't speak Spanish or English anymore after DAZN gave him equity. I remember Hatman Boxing always said he was possibly a heel.Comment
