  • Comments Thread For: Joshua: God Willing, I'll Perform And I Will Become Three-Time Heavyweight Champion

By Jake Donovan - Anthony Joshua is ready to rule the heavyweight division once again. The 2012 Olympic Gold medalist and former two-time unified heavyweight titlist enters the second rematch of his career, in hopes of avenging his second career defeat. The occasion comes in his August 20 rematch with Ukraine's Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13KOs), who defends his WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO titles in a bout that will headline a show from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

    I'm actually rooting for Joshua.
No one currently considered the A-side at heavyweight has taken as many unnecessary challenges as Joshua.
And I love it when guys who actually think they are the best actually want to prove it in the ring.
I know, what a novel concept.

To call his loss to masterful Usyk a minor blip is disrespectful to say the least! In the last 10 seconds of the match Joshua was confused and fearing a ko. All I can say is that the minor blip will turn into a huge bump!

          "God Willing"
Good Luck to you big man but I still see and sense that AJ doubts himself...A LOT and not Robert Garcia or no trainer for that matter can fix that

I think he tries to come forward and be more aggressive and trying to use his size and Power but he walks right into something and this time Usyk goes for the Finish by applying pressure back on AJ, gassing him out and ultimately stopping him

Hopefully AJ Proves me wrong, I have no horse in this RACE I don't care who wins, I just think Usyk is the better and more skilled boxer and goes on to prove that he has AJ number much like Fury has Wilder Number

Styles make fights and AJ looks too slow and stiff to Cut the ring vs Usyk and force him to fight his fight and even when AJ traps him it was Usyk winning exchanges and Usyk hurting him. You CANNOT have Stamina issues vs a style like Usyk

Religious people who think god, if one exists, cares which of these two bludgeons the other into unconsciousness with their fists are idiots of the highest order.

God is real though im sure god doesnt take sides in sports and leaves it fully up to the human free will and skill. A.J aiming to be a 4x hw champ make a record not to be broken hell win this then get blasted in a couple fights, lose the belt again then win a random belt IBF or some shh then retire

God willing is not doubting. It's paying his respects. Christians say with God everything is possible. I love both expressions. Even if you are unbeliever of God, this is not the place. It's about the boxers, not you. Respect.

I usually agree with your posts.
That quote is unnecessary as a point of departure.
