No excuses man, Beterbiev hit him to the temple, which is a balance shot, and the side of the head.

Wherever Beterbiev hits someone, it hurts a helluva lot.

It doesn't really matter because all the fight that Smith had was knocked out of him after the first knockdown. After that, Smith just started button mashing hoping that he would hit something...

Some how a shot around the back of the head does strange things to your equilibrium. Intentional or not. I watched the punch Junior Fa was hit with recently around the back of the head and it completely discombobulated him leading to a ko loss. I cannot help but wonder if this is something in Bertebiev's tool box in much the same way Evander used to use his head in a very subtle but effective manner in fights. In any case the better man won and kudos to him.

BS post. No evidence Beterbiev ever use PEDs. Looping hooks are a often used punch for when your opponent dips down instead of back. Legal punch. It’s just Beterbiev throws it so fast with huge power that people question it. GGG uses the same looping hook as well as the regular hook and it’s meant to get around a high guard.

Im not trying to be all zenophobic and all, but you see this a lot in foreign fighters that come in...Edison Miranda ...know what I'm saying ...they tend to not have a full grasp of, well, the rules . Even down to steroid usage. Its up to the ref, who doesnt speak the language a lot ...to get it across them that what works in a real street fight doesn't quiet work here.Hitting after the bell, on breaks...you name it...
