I just happen to feel that Manny, being younger, and just that bit better all round than Marquez, and carrying his power with him, is able to ease himself into the higher weight brackets, a bit better than Marquez.

At the same time I don't regard his win over Oscar, as being really as significant as it might have been, because of the circumstances I mentioned in my last letter.

But we can't get away from the fact that Manny beat Oscar was in a way that no one else has ever been able to do.
    I feel ya!

But I just believe that the true clear test will be vs Cotto at a catch of 145, not even 147. As far as JMM we will find out tonight how he can handle bigger (146) guys. So far Pac's appearance is better at the higher weight.

You are right when saying that Pac beat Oscar better than anyone. But Oscar never fought anyone the way he did that night before either. Maybe 10 years ago he was at that weight. But those ten years ago he was unstoppable and prime. So yeah your right he beat Oscar but he beat a bum that night. Which brings me back to the point of him not proving anything other than a win over a fighter that was once a great fighter, not a guy on an IVY right before the fight. 100% Oscar's fault too........

Pacs great but IMO overly rated at this time. Him and JMM need to settle some business. As I have said we should see that next year when Cotto handles Pac and Mayweather handles JMM or at least one hopes. Then we (should) get a REAL WW fight. Mayweather vs Cotto. Non of this catch weight BS between Mayweather and Pac. I would bet that as much as EVERYONE says Pac has "proven" himself at WW/145, I would bet he wouldn't even fight Mayweather at the WW limit of 147. He would want PBF at 140-145. Same thing he's doing to Cotto. Yet people **** themselves when Mayweather does the same thing at getting people at a catch weight. Could you imagine what people would say if PBF wanted Oscar to come down to 145?

So has Pac Proven himself at WW? Hardly IMO. Same thing could be said for PBF which is why I want him and Cotto next year!

Anyway who cares I'm ready for Mayweather vs JMM and Cotto vs Pac to fight so we can see who's fighting who for sure next year. Also every fighter named in both our "letters" are all my favorites. I trash talk all of them at one point or another. I'm not biased towards any of them. I just speak what I think about them. Some just hate and talk out of emotions of hatred. Its cool. I royally hate Joe (lets fight in my back yard for 10 years and avoid everyone) Calzaghe...... So I understand! lol

note: had to keep up with our standards and make it a letter...

JMM is a natural Super Featherweight, who looked physically out of his depth even at Lightweight, only winning against naturally stronger men because of his exceptional skills.

Pac is now a natural Jnr Welterweight, who looked physically stronger than the lineal Jnr Welterweight champion.

Different fighters have different maximum weights they can achieve without losing effectiveness: Pac's seems to be 140lb, Marquez's seems to be 130lb.

That's the reason, plain and simple.

Not at all, but he's done enough at Jnr Welterweight to indicate that he ought to be able to be competitive against Welters, although not necessarily able to win. FWIW, I think Cotto will win against Pac, but I think it'll be very competitive (and I wouldn't be surprised if Pac won, although I believe Cotto probably will).

But I think Cotto would beat Marquez easily.
