Doesn’t get much more accurate than this comment. Anyone dis*****g this is kidding themselves and blinded by fandom love. When Oscar says Hearn got Canelo beat because Bivol was the wrong style, he's basically admitting that he was feeding Canelo a bunch of ppl he thought was good for his style, while avoiding ppl he thought was a bad style for him. And we know who Canelo avoided and we know why. Blatantly avoided Andrade like a yellow dog, for YEARS, as well as Benavidez. Ran from GGG for YEARS, until Oscar convinced him the timing was right, that GGG was getting old and slowing down. Against Bivol, Canelo got himself beat. He got beat because he was running from fighters he didn't want any part of, and he thought Bivol was easier. He just finally made a miscalculation on who he should fight and when he should fight them. His disgusting system of cheating the fans, while robbing the bank, this whole system of pick and choose and avoid, has finally caught up to his dumb ass

I think people here are projecting. They weren't smart enough to realise Bivol wasn't an easier fight than Charlo and Benevidez so they assume Canelo must have thought the same way. Anybody who thought Bivol would be easy, isn't that smart when it comes to boxing.

This. Canelo doesn't need a big name opponent, he's the attraction and he has plenty of money. It seems like Canelo wanted to go for legacy by getting another belt in another division. He tried and it didn't work out, no shame in that. Banevidez and Charlo don't have anything that Canelo wants but they can still possibly get a fight with Canelo in the future.
Now that Canelo has lost maybe these other guys can stop waiting around for him and start fighting each other?
Don’t mind who Canelo fights as long as they’re live, and there’s a lot of them. I’ll keep watching these other guys too, but could do with more frequent fightsComment

What legacy? He was already a champion at 175 and he said himself that Bivol wasn't the best in the division.

Fighting bivol for 15 million instead of Charlo for 45 million let's us know he thought bivol would be easy.
he thought bivol and ggg 3 was easy money he could get and then go back and leverage pbc into offering even more next year after his dazn deal is up.

Beating the #1 or #2 light heavyweight in the would have been great for his legacy, above and beyond his win over an old Kovalev.
It just didn't work out.
If he rematches Bivol is that going to be a cherrypick too?

More likely shows he wanted another belt in a higher division to add to his cv. Only the dumbest of people could think Bivol is easier than Charlo. Canelo's match making throughout his career shows he probably isn't that dumb when it comes to those things.
Fighting the likes of Floyd, Lara and GGG shows Canelo is willing to sometimes take tough fights he might lose. Even past prime Kovalev had some real risk. Canelo has picked some cherries through his career no doubt, but Bivol never was one.Comment
