He knew Haney was a clincher before the fight. He should have trained and practiced for that. You know he's a runner, cut off the ring, you know he's a clincher, learn how to break those holds and counter.

fighters are the worst fighters, if you could even call them that. To think these guys are actually training to clinch! What is that garbage? I don’t care what excuse you come up with, clinching and holding for 2:30 mins of each round is disgusting and a insult to the sport. We are here to see BOXING, not a hug fest!
Meanwhile, Hopkins is considered an ATG. How is that possible?
Boxing has different styles and specific “defensive” tactics to offset an opponent’s gameplan.
It is the reality of the sport.
I hear other fans clamoring for caveman style fighting. They look for brawls to show that one’s a “true warrior”.

Not a championship level fight. I give Haney credit for his strength of character; he behaved with maturity and class throughout. Kambosos let the fame go to his head and embarrassed himself with a weak performance and even more so with the idiotic "you're a rat" diatribe which Haney wisely ignored. When Devin was giving you the "info" before the Teo fight, did you call him a rat then? Or did you take the "info" and think maybe you could use it? It was all public anyway and Devin just outclassed you in the ring and out, in your home country. Note To Devin: Lomachenko, Lopez, Kambosos: one-fight wonders as undisputed (or close, who can keep track?) -- but they all fell quickly, too much talking and hype, too much false bravado. You just showed real character, don't lose it amidst the glitter and praise. Cong**** and we want more of this. Islam seems to have inspired you to be disciplined and humble, and we should all take note and honor that.

Everyone and their grandmother's know how Haney fights. You had to train to negate his jab,and handle his clinching, and catch him when he bends at the waist. You did none of the above. How do you cancel out his jab? Fight him at close range, and rip him to the body. Use your left glove to catch the jab,and shoot the right hand down the pipe. Keep your head off the center line and give him angles. How do you handle his clinching? Take a step back and pop a jab in his face when he comes in. Keep your elbows tucked so that he can't hook under your armpits. How do you handle the bending over? Watch how canelo broke billy Joe saunders face with the uppercut. I am in no way shape or form and expert, yet I can come up with a better gameplay than these professionals. It seems like they never watched a Haney fight before, and simply hoped for the best.

You'll see that he's fighting dirty but he's still fighting, trying to initiate the clinch, rough the guy up but gives himself room to work on the inside. Dirty? Yes. Boxing? Yes.
Now watch how Haney does it:
He ducks down below his legs or below the belt line, then shoulder charges against Kambosos while in a position that Kambosos can't throw any punches without risk of being docked for rabbit or kidney punches. He has no legal area to punch. Then Haney shoulders up, clinches, but without trying to fight in the clinch. He's just hugging. Referee breaks them up, and the process repeats itself. This is completely different to Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins is fighting dirty while Haney is blatantly cheating.

Haney is the top boring fighter in the sport ! The ref needed to deduct points for all the holding he did . Also kambosso has to learn to fight like a dog and attack and not box , throw 6-7-8 Punches at a time , fight like u wanna keep ur belts not like u sparing . Where’s ur heart

Originally posted by Kambo JrI was sharp [at] points. I landed some very good shots. I hurt him a few times. I feel like every time I landed clean, he was hurt. So, he just fought his game off that jab. He just boxed off that jab and did his holding. He did hold a lot. He did get low. Every time I tried to exchange, he’d hold and dropped into that hip. So, it is what it is.
Originally posted by Kambo SrThere’s no excuses at all, but the referee basically, you know, with the holding and stuff like that, you know, usually, you know, you get warned and maybe a point taken off. But when the other fighter is, you know, his momentum’s always stopped, you know, that there means that George gotta reset. But at that point, Devin’s resetting with that jab.
