I wouldn't exactly call it IQ, but Loma fights in a manner which would negate Haney's jab and length effectively. George couldn't find a way around it, whereas Loma's lateral movement and ability to find angles would serve him well against Haney.

    • Haney made that look easy. Kambosos had no plan B. Boring fight. Haney is good but damn it's boring to watch.

He has to take a Loma fight at some point. Let's really see how good of a technical boxer he really is. Cannot see Kambosos getting close in a rematch.

      • Congratulations to Devin Haney for making history in becoming the first ever undisputed Lightweight champion in the four belt era. I thought he controlled range, distance and spacing well with his jab.

He proved that he was the better man tonight. Kambosos was just outclassed. I tip my hat to him for his spirited effort but he was exposed as a limited fighter. He just didn't know how to fight on the inside and was loading up on too many single punches.

Devin's ring generalship made him very difficult to find and hit.

        • Haney vs Loma is the fight. Garcia isn't close to ready with his handlers. I wouldn't mind seeing Davis but he never fights anyone worth a ish so I won't count on that.

Haney is faster than Loma, he's going to get off first everytime and Loma is smaller than Kambosos. Haney looked like a WW in there even though it was Kambosos that failed to make weight. To beat Haney it's going to take someone to get inside and rough him up. Little Loma hasn't got the size or the style.

            • In the rematch it depends if Kambosos felt Haney’s power enough tonite to respect it in a rematch. Because he will need to take more chances and be much more aggressive next time with Haney. He is not outboxing Haney in any fight, his only shot is to go for the knockout.

There was a reason why Loma didn't fight Haney when he was his mando. I guess Loma understands boxing more than you do. Haney just made an offensive fighter looked average.

                • Congratulations to Haney, he deserves that. Predictable result because of the styles. Now Loma. Come on Bob...

Either way I'm Happy for Haney. It's hard to know what goes on behind the scenes and who is BSing and who is being honest, but I personally admire the way that Devin and his dad have conducted his career so far. A few defenses and he can be the true king of this talented era. Easier said than do though!

Kambosos is a pretty good fighter and I said here he will give Teo problems stylistically, but he’s not offensively great and his real ability lies in sharp counters. I don’t think he really knows how to set up his own work, which I think Tank could.

I actually think Garcia has a chance v Haney, I think his power is real and he’s pretty good at landing shots from long range, super sharp and accurate. So he wouldn’t need to wait for Haney to engage. Plus Haney can be hit and often if he’s at mid or close range, he can forget to move his head off centre line. If Garcia could read that, he would have opportunities to land. Haney would outbox him for the majority of the time they’re in there though.
Same Tank that was losing rounds to Rolly, a guy the "non puncher" Haney schooled and clearly hurt in headgear,

I'd give Garcia a better chance than Tank because styles make fights...

Haney wasn't hit too often tonight, He wasn't hit much by Linares either until the end of the fight..
