I don’t rate Haney highly but I actually think he’s a bad style for Loma, maybe he knew it too

Loma we know is really good but those angles can be negated If you have a long jab and good Pivot
that you can use at long range. Teo implemented it very well for 6 or 7 rounds but deviated a bit from the plan. Haney could do that for 12 rounds and be totally dedicated to that game plan, because that’s basically his game anyway.

Haney v Loma could look like the first 6 rounds of Lopez v Loma but for 12. The only thing Is Loma looked afraid of Teo’s power, which would’ve be the case with Haney.

I’ve always said Loma’s plan A is great, as good as it gets in boxing. But if you can negate his angles, especially with a long jab and pivot, he really hasn’t got anything special to fall back on as a plan B

If they fight Haney will win easily. I bet you was one of those that thought Loma was some boxing god weren't you?

Loma is technically better than Haney. Yes Loma is smaller but he is smaller than near everyone he fights. He would show Haney things he has never seen. Loma is not the type of fighter to stand back vs haney (let's not mention the lopez fight though as that was an anomoly) . He would make it his business to get in close.

        • I don't know how they sell a rematch...I'd have no interest is seeing it.

Excuse. I guess you are one those who thought Kambozo would walk through Haney. Kambozo was even heavier than Haney on Friday and also probably on fight night.

Haney would wrap him up everytime. Little Loma is too small to prevent it.

              • Don't forget that there are still some more fights on ESPN+ on the "aftercard." 5-0, 160 lb prospect, Amari Jones taking on 3-0-1 Anush Hooda right now

Tank knocks out Haney . Kambosos looked horrible. Had nothing from the start. What did Haney do? He stood right in front of Kambosos. He jabbed , he double jabbed. Missed right hands. He fought as basic as an amateur. Nothing special. No body work. What was Kambosos doing for the last 8 months ? Blow ? Man, he did nothing. Southpaw Tank will knock Haney's head off. That's the only fight at lightweight. Nothing else.

                    • Team Kambosos should have known that they would never defeat Devin Haney at his own game by trying to out box him. That was George's problem. He was thinking too much when he should have been throwing, letting his hands go and fighting.
