What were some fights that the ref SHOUDLVE stopped it, and it ended badly?

The ref made a great stoppage even though everyone wanted the fight to go on but that had me thinking.

WHat were some stoppages that needed to happen but was allowed to continue that ended up badly for the fighter?

I think there's more fights where it gets stopped prematurely than to late. It's also the trainers responsibility to stop the fight as well.

The only recent fight I can remember is a pbc card where this puerto rican guy was fighting this dirty black guy who kept rabid punching and the ref was completely incompetent. The guy ended up in a coma

shannon briggs vs vitali klitschko probably should have been stopped. calzaghe vs lacy is another one, that fight pretty much ruined lacy.

McClellan was the corners responsibility, from the ref point of view that was a 50/50 fight still at the time it ended and Gerald indicated wanting to continue, the corner should have Recognize his distress, it's hard for the ref to, even the commentators noticed him blinking but wondered if it was just a mannerism under stress.

Kid Galahad vs Kiko Martinez.

Kiko essentially slept him at the end of a round but the bell saved him. They sent him out there for the next round and he got absolutely KTFO on the exact same punch; clearly didn't have his legs under him or his wits about him.
