I used to have biased hate towards Michael Conlan until he left everything in the ring (and got knocked out of it)

He seems to have gained a lot of people's respect who didn't think much of him before. Kinda crazy the lengths you have to go to win some of us lunatics over...

I'd gladly join the band in regard to congratulating Conlan on picking a dangerous opponent for his return.

Marriaga is definitely faded, but he's still durable and hits hard. It's a more dangerous comeback opponent for Conlan than I was expecting

Bearing Marriaga in no way should put Conlan in line for another title shot.

Others have articulated it much better than I could, but Marriaga is a solid opponent to fight after getting sparked out like Conlan did in his last fight. Miguel has mileage on the odometer but he's heavy handed and game.
