Bivol vs Beterbiev should be next after the smith fight. If canelo wants his redemption with bivol, he should have to go and get beterbiev’s belts first. After all, wasn’t it the canelo motto that we have to “earn” our shots at the big dogs right?

I don’t think beating Canelo should have affected the odds between Bivol and Beterbiev, Canelo is a non issue at LHW and it was shocking how so many believed Canelo could get passed Bivol. Styles makes fights and Beterbiev is a much more effective pressure fighter than Canelo, with actual power. It really just depends on if Bivol can get Beterbiev’s respect because that man has the power and stamina to continually pile on the pressure to stop guys in the later rounds. His last victory over Marcus Browne was very impressive. With all that said I feel Bivol would still win a decision.

Beterbiev would absolutely maul Canelo, lucky he matched up with the “softer” Bivol.

Beterbiev is a superior fighter than bivol. He can adjust much better. The way the fight will go is bivol ahead on the cards slightly after 6 then beterbiev begins to cut the ring off on bivol and break him down with body shots and short right hands. Bivol is vulnerable to both and beterbiev gets better as the fight progresses. People forget that beterbiev was a former world champ and outboxed usky in the amateurs before dropping him and getting robbed. Beterbiev stops bivol and I'll put money on it.

Wrong. Bivol will beat Beterbiev quite handily. He won't be favoured by a big margin , if at all, but he'll win quite easily.

I still slightly favor Beterbiev. Beterviev is not just a puncher. I think most people are sleeping on his boxing skills which help setup his power/leverage. That's how he breaks down his opponents who are seemingly more skilled/agile. And despite his age, his engine is still good. He can go 12 at his usual pace. Would love to see this fight.

I don't believe you've watched Beterbiev fights. He's very beatable. Severely flawed. Strong? Yes, talented ? Yes, but very beatable. Bivol beats this guy quite handily.

Canelo's biggest attributes are his head movement and granite chin. Bivol will bust up Beterbiev. Beterbiev is easy to hit. Bivol is too smart , too good a boxer for Beterbiev.
