And we've seen Bivol can take solid punches from the likes of Smith Jr even ones he wasn't expecting to take/bracing for (the one on/after the bell at the end of the tenth).
Were they? I had Beterbiev well in front in both fights. Browne definitely wasn’t winning, that fights pretty fresh in my mind, what fight were you watching? Seriously what rounds did you give Browne?

Big favorite? Sure Beterbiev getting older and Bivol is in his prime but it's very hard to pick a favorite if they fight. Win against Canelo wasn't that huge of a surprise as people say but it looked so easy for Bivol so maybe that was the surprising part? Scorecards were horrible for sure

          Hearn is a clown.

It's a pickem fight. Maybe Bivol would open as a SLIGHT favourite due to recent win/momentum and public perception.

"out boxing him comfortably until they weren't" is the imperative part of what I said, in the case of Browne I didn't give him many rounds if I recall 1,2,8 but he did have complete control of them with good defensive work, more activity, his jab and his head LOL and I don't rate Browne, certainly not above Bivol in terms of ability.

As for Gvozdyk I had him 1 or 2 rounds going into the round he got stopped and I think 2 of the judges had it the same. (Gvozdyk I do rate though so that might of been a bit of bias creeping in).

Bivol rarely if ever is forced away from his game plan (amateur or pro), I'll be amazed if Beterbiev is the one to force him away from whatever game plan he chooses to use against him and stopping him I just don't believe so he's old, that's partially why I think Canelo went the Bivol, GGG route to age out him out some more and it bit him in the ass.

I don’t dispute Bivol is capable of outboxing Beterbiev but neither Browne or Gvodzyk were ever in control of their fights with Beterbiev. Browne was looking to find a way out early, I had Beterbiev well in front in that fight, I maybe gave Browne 2 rounds.

Bivol could well be the bookie's favourite now he's got a big name scalp on his resume. but in reality, Bivol vs Beterbiev is a 50/50 fight. I would actually favour Beterbiev slightly if not for his age.

If you asked Bob Arum his opinion I have no doubt it would be the opposite of Eddie's. Promoters are going to promote their own fighters, nothing wrong with that.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree on what constitutes control but when there is a consensus on which rounds belong to whom in a given fight that's control in my book E.G. Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev 2 of the judges agreed on Gvozdyk winning 2,3,7 and 3 of the judges agreed on 4 and 8 for him.

The Gvozdyk Beterbiev fight was similar to Canelo vs Plant though Plant was often out landing Canelo by single digit punches he was mainly landing jabs and Canelo was landing Power Punches (Canelo = Gvozdyk) only rounds Beterbiev out landed him in PPs is 9 and 10, it's all a matter of perception.
