What kind of stoppage was that?

Man....y'all should've seen Rolly when he walked into the post-fight press conference....dude looked like he just woke up from a nap. I mean, seriously. You couldn't even tell he was in a fight...it simply looked like he had just waken up...THIS is how concussed he was. The walk of shame to the locker room was telling enough. Rolly was OUT of it.
Great fight though.
I don't like the excuses that some Tank fans made...saying he was "setting Rolly up the whole time" or "Tank was just being patient and blah blah blah!" Shut that **** up! Tank was uncomfortable and took some shots early. Why is this so hard for some to understand?
Some Tank fans are the worst! They barely know **** about boxing....they just tune in and sit at the edge of their seats for the KO. Bunch of casuals. Again, great fight but Rolly deserved credit for what he did by making it a fight of some sort. I actually feel more happy about spending my money on this one and not the Cruz fight 6 months back.Comment

You actually think that ref should have let Rollie continue after watching him wobble all over like that? Does your bias toward Latino fighters run so deep that you would rather see one of them get seriously hurt rather than admit that he was done? Just because you would have to give a black fighter credit for the win? Is your thinking really that jaded?Comment

I thought it was a solid stoppage. You gotta look at personnel. It's not safe being dead meat in front of a fighter like Tank. Tank doesn't seem like a guy that plays with his food; Rolly could've gotten seriously hurt or straight sleptComment

I am getting annoying with these ref's who wave off the 10 count because someone's back touched the canvas but in this case....had the ropes not been there, it would have been a face plant type knockdown and he probably doesn't make the count. Going face first, you are for sure hurt. He would have had to regather himself, turn over and then try to get up. He made the count here because the ropes help to keep him in place. Not sure if that was a factor to the ref but I didn't mind the stoppage because of that.Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 06-01-2022, 03:25 PM.Comment

The fight needed to be stopped. Romero was out of it well past the fight being stopped.Comment

If you stand a foot away from a guy that is gone his eyes are like a dead fish, the ref saw he was gone, it's dangerous territory in that situation nobody wants to see anybody seriously hurt.Last edited by Roadblock; 06-01-2022, 05:34 PM.Comment
