David Morrell is an exceptionally gifted fighter with speed, reflexes, boxing ability, and lethal punching power.
He's getting way ahead of himself with all his trash talking, and he just might get the tables turned on him.
David Benavidez is nobodies *****, and Morrell just might find that out the hard way, via the school of hard knocks.
At the end of the day, he might just turn out to be another big mouth boxer, who happens to have superior boxing skills.
This mans' newly discovered disrespectful arrogance, just might be the start of his down fall in his own boxing career.

I just found out that although Morrell did call out Benavidez first, it was Benavidez who first used the word ***** to disrespectfully describe the fighters who've been calling him out.
So what I'm saying in retrospect is that calling out another, and getting called out by another fighter in turn, is a double edged sword.
It can get real ugly, petty, and violent really quick, so I'm removing the original country of origin, and replacing it with the word boxer.
Because many boxers from many different countries have been guilty of being loud mouthed, disrespectful, and even physical, sometimes even before the fights are even made.
All that said if, and when they fight I'll definitely be watching, because they're both warrior's in the ring.

It would be very ****** and unnecessary to match him with Benavidez in his 7th fight, it could literally end his career if he got beat down badly.
You're comparing Morrell to Berlanga now? Berlanga is truly horrible and you could see that from the get go. All these guys on Benavidez's pro resume Morrell has beaten much better fighters in Cuba. He won the most outstanding fighter award in Russia at the age of 17 in the youth worlds. Then he beat La Sombra o La Cruz in my opinion at the national championships in Cuba but they didn't give him the win cause of who La Cruz is for the country so he had to leave the island. Julio Cesar la Cruz is a two time Olympic gold medalist and 5 time world champion and doing it at light heavy and cruiser, and because he did it at two different weight classes I rank him as the best Cuban boxer ever, above Stevenson and Savon.

Now, an 18 years old Morrell fought la Cruz twice and in my opinion won both times. Do you understand now more clearly what a huge obstacle Morrell is for anybody at 168? He'll murk all of them with Benavidez having the best chance of upsetting him but I just don't see it. Benavidez has been feasting on former 154 pounders and 160 pounder, and except for one former 154 pounder all orthodox fighters too on his resume. Samson ain't making this fight if his life depended on him and neither is his dad. Those in the know do know what Morrell is the best at 168 and will be the best at 175 when he moves up.

No I'm not comparing him to Berlanga as a fighter but the point is hes still unproven I don't care how many amateur fights he has had. Do you know if he has a chin and can handle serious adversity and punching power? From 6 pro fights? Lots of fighters look amazing after a few fights with no serious opposition. He has not literally beaten a single world class fighter and your talking about Benavidez? Relax dawg.

Who has Benavidez beaten? Morrell was a world champ at 17 as a light heavy and has a belt now too. What does Benat1t1s have, a coke habit?

He has stopped multiple world champions and a bunch of seasoned veterans. Now who has Morrell beaten? All i see is C grade fighters at best.

That's a great fight. They need to make these fights. This should hopefully be a trilogy. You can't stop a say, "who has he fought" because there is not depth. Mostly just average joes and a few amazing talents who are totally in a league of their own.
