This board is so full of haters and idiots.

How can he not be a legend?

First person to unify all of the belts since hagler at 160
    20 title defenses.
Moved up to Light Heavyweight at age 40 and become LH champion
Fights nothing but pound 4 pound fighters, no "tune ups", after the age of 40 and wins all of them besides a close loss to Calzaghe at age 43.

He's fought more title holders and former title holders than ANY active fighter today.

Beat Glen Johnson, Trinidad, Oscar, Winky, Pavlik, Joppy, Tarver, Howard Eastman, Antwun Echols, etc, and his only losses were controversial ones to Taylor and Calzaghe, and a legit loss to Roy Jones.

If he's not a legend, then I don't know what qualifies as such. Pacquiao, mayweather, jones, calzaghe, etc. they aren't legends either then.

His 20 defenses are middleweight were nothing short of a joke. His competition wasn't just awful - it was truly some of the worst fighters I have ever seen. Calslappy fought way better opposition for his defenses.

Then you have all the huggers reciting all these 'big names' that he beat - but in reality it's a joke. I mean Tito, DLH, Pavlik and Winky? I mean come on. All these are smaller guys than Hopkins. DLH had absolutely no buisiness in the ring with Hopkins - he was far too small. Pavlik looked ****e above 160 on all occasions. Winky was a blown up welterweight along with Trinidad.

Everytime Hopkins has fought someone that isn't a bum in his own weightclass he has lost. Taylor, Jones, Calzaghe (who, alot of people forget, moved up to beat him) and some crappy club fighter at the start of his career.

Seriously, this guy is a joke. You beat him? You robbed him! You looked like ****! He didn't start fast enough!

If Calzaghe had made a career out of fighting guys like Winky, Tito and DLH he would have been crucified. Instead he actually fought some decent competition in his own weight class such as Kessler and beat them convincingly, rather than just loosing and crying about a robbery.

Also, this guy is praised for all his 'old school tricks' when infact he is just a dirty bastard that uses his head as a weapon.

preach...honestly i wouldn't hate the guy so much if it wasn't for his delusional nuthugging fans making up ridiculous excuses for him when they know it is a fact that he is a scaled down lightheavy who has been beating up on a weak middleweight division for years and getting high prasie for it...everytime he loses its always a robbery when in actuality its always a close fight where he's only landing 1/2 a punch a round...only reason why the fights are so close is because in his old age he's become a master of making fights ugly...headbutts, lowblows, hitting behind the head, etc. are all legal punches in hopkins fanboy world...

He beat EVERYONE in the division. Any many were title holders or former title holders. WTF you expect him to do.

Let me ask you: name four active fighters with better resumes than Hopkins.
