I think the Riley fight could headline the Copper Box. If Sky don’t really fancy Cieslak-Chamberlain, and he sees the amount he’ll probably get as a B side in Poland or wherever, he might change his mind.

Definitely. I’m expecting Matias to fight Rivera next seeing as he beat Lipinets on the prelim of that Benavidez card. If not maybe Elvis Rodriguez, think both are (or will be) IBF ranked.

Sky want to build Riley as well, you can see he’s a guy they see as a long term asset like Azim, Whittaker etc. I don’t really see the hype if I’m honest. I think he’s decent but nothing special.

I really hope Catterall gets some sort of shot in 2024. No more treading water hopefully. I think still chasing the Taylor rematch is a mistake.

I think Riley’s decent, agreed. Sometimes that’s all you need and a bit of luck though. I mean he’s definitely more naturally talented than CBS, and on the face of it CBS doesn’t have top level power or boxing ability (great intangibles ofc), and he’s a world champion.

I think that’s a good fight for him if they can get it done early 2024 so he can get a good fight in the summer. It’s probably the only realistic fight that sells at the minute. The belts are going to be tied up if he doesn’t get a WBC shot or doesn’t take up this IBF final eliminator it seems. I think he could go Taylor and with a comprehensive win possibly get Haney over to fight but if not and he just takes a stay busy he’s got no chance.

I think Isaac would be a good test for him tbf. 50/50 fight for me that.

CBS’ progress has really surprised me, I think Shane deserves a lot of credit too. He seems to improve everyone he works with.

I think they’ve missed the boat with it personally, there was real demand for the rematch after the first fight robbery but both men have lost all their momentum now IMO.

Cheavon Clarke rumoured to be fighting Tommy McCarthy on Jan 27th in Belfast. Interesting step up fight. Crocker will headline the card.

Really enjoying this Matchroom & Conlan Boxing link up thus far.
