Dos Santos pulled out of a vacant EBU shot against some bloke called Diallo that was for December 2nd. Think Diallo versus Lerrone is the fight now if I'm not mistaken.

Metcalf-Baraou makes sense if Benn-Eubank goes ahead, Baraou is with Wasserman I believe, they've had him over on Channel 5 before. Metcalf is quite highly ranked with the WBA though so not sure they'd risk him in that one, might get a shot fairly soon.

Butler-Harris I look forward to, Hobson promoting?
Sharp was WBO mandatory at one point wasn’t he? Or at least very highly ranked.

Yeah I was purely going off the website. It could be a misprint or something though.

Would have to be a big payday to convince Metcalf I reckon. He’s hoping for a world title shot. Sure there was talk of him fighting in a WBA eliminator a few months back, think it was against Madrimov.

Yeah Hobson show, Olympia I reckon. At least he’s promoting in the UK again rather than Malta and the Cayman Islands. Wonder what he’s doing out there?

Couple other interesting ones, they've got Denny-Cash and Davies-Baluta II (strangely) on there.
I’d be surprised if that rematch happens. Baluta is decent but Davies won pretty clearly I thought.

Think I saw the bid was around 75,000 Euros between the two of them, so not quite title shot money I'd actually like them to make him against Madrimov, would be a good opportunity for him and build Madrimov's profile.

Sharp was definitely number 1, yeah. He's still highly ranked, but at 3. He's behind Albert Bell (mandatory, number 1) and Liam Wilson again. Think iirc Navarette-Valdez was meant to be at the start of this year and then Navarette fought Wilson instead even though Sharp was ranked higher (might've been 1 at that point).

The website is sometimes a bit weird to be fair.

Literally no idea re: Malta or the Caymans! But fair dos to him, it's a good fight although it is the obvious one to make. Who do you favour?

Did you see the thing about Boxxer offering Josh Taylor the Marku fight for basically no money. They've got some nerve Marku should be in with Kongo or McKinson next and no one else. Can't skip levels like that. Taylor is a bit stuck though if this Catterall rematch doesn't come through. Top Rank might throw him to Santillan or something and that doesn't sound like a huge payday. He's a bit of a way off a title shot, his rankings are decent but no top threes I don't think.

Yeah no chance that happens I reckon. Risk/reward doesn’t add up for Metcalf, a loss would probably be curtains for him as well.

I remember him laughably calling out Shakur at one point and I expected him to fight for the vacant title and then suddenly it was Navarrete vs Wilson.

He’s been promoting Commonwealth title fights over there.

Boxxer’s matchmaking is very questionable. What idiot is proposing that matchup. Taylor jumped up to 147 too late, the division is a bit of a wasteland now. Especially if Crawford moves up.

          • Catterall vs Hitchins being ordered is an interesting one. Two high risk/low reward contenders.

            • Isaac Chamberlain named mandatory for the EBU title too.

Can't see that fight happening, although Catterall hasn't at all built the momentum to justify a fight with the Haney-Prograis winner. Only route would be through being WBC mandatory, so maybe he should fight Sandor Martin next (or should already have before).

I think they should make Hitchins against the Love/Paro winner. That would be a good fight to build his profile, particularly if Love wins (though I don't anticipate he will).

Interested with how this would work, if he takes it, he won't have to vacate the British will he?

I don't fancy his chances of beating Cieslak, although it is a possibility particularly if he gets A-side advantage. I would think Boxxer would rather make Chamberlain-Riley than have Chamberlain potentially have to vacate, because I doubt they want Chev Clarke-Riley ordered.

I got the impression he was open to vacating post fight after the Lawal win. He didn’t seem overly keen on the idea of facing Clarke or Riley.

I have no idea what the plan is with Catterall. Yeah I suspect both look for an easier route.
