Stops him? That'd be a little impressive if he does.

Yeah I don't think Davies Jr sees it the whole way through.

Is Liam Paro a puncher? He iced that guy last time out but he looked badly overmatched.

Jarvis was coming up quite a bit in weight as you say. Paro's had two stoppages from his last 7 before Jarvis, which coincided with a step up in level, so while he had quite a streak of stoppages beforehand, maybe he hasn't got quite the same power above domestic level. Don't know if he'll be icing Davies Jr.

I’m told Dennis Hobson is going to try and block Parker vs Massey. Believes Massey is still under contract and Boxxer have no right to promote his next fight.

Interesting. If he's successful in doing that, do you reckon they go Parker-Hunter instead for the Catterall-Taylor chief support? Or would that not be viable financially.

From what I hear Dennis has a good case, I think the likes of Kynoch and McClory have gone behind his back in making this deal.

If it gets blocked they’ll probably scrap the Parker fight altogether I reckon, Jack’s a local lad who can shift a few tickets. Parker vs Hunter is a fight I’d actually like to see but it won’t move the needle in the UK. Sky will have the funds to pay Dennis off though I reckon. They did the same thing to him with Jamie McDonnell back in 2013, I expect it to get resolved.

True, but surely among the non-hardcores Bakole-Hunter is less appealing as a chief support than Parker-Hunter? Probably won’t happen though, I expect you’re right. Reckon a replacement opponent for Massey would be any good, probably too much to expect Chamberlain or someone like that isn’t it?

Depends how much they’re willing to pay really, if somebody else steps in they’ll want very good money on less than 4 weeks notice. I do think the Parker-Massey fight goes ahead though, they’ll just have to negotiate some sort of severance payment with Hobson I reckon. Shalom is quickly making enemies, that’s Hearn and Hobson both pursuing legal action against him.

Come to think of it, I think I remember seeing maybe a month or two ago something about Hobson suggesting Shalom was trying to tap up his fighters - I originally thought Massey, but tbf I’d have thought that was for a fight at cruiser not against Parker. I know you may not be privy to the splits, but how much do you reckon he’d be getting for the Parker fight, mid-high five figures?
