Yeah I think you’re spot on. If Chisora pulls off the upset that’s the fight they’ll look to make.

Yeah interesting matchup, how many rounds is it scheduled for?

No idea I’m afraid. Just saw it announced on Twitter. Maybe 6?

          CBS-Chamberlain announced for July 30th.

Whittaker’s debut and Frazer Clarke’s 2nd fight on the undercard.

Hopefully they get Joe Pigford on the card.

Decent card that. Whittaker’s talking about potentially doing an 8 rounder as well. Frazer’s been out quite a while hasn’t he so I can’t imagine the opponent will be too taxing but nonetheless a good card.

Ben’s a kid who needs to be reigned in a bit IMO. I get DeGale vibes from him. I think he broke his hand, Frazer needs to be moved pretty quickly at 30, be interesting to see who they match them up against.

I can definitely see that. I’m not a huge fan of the antics; he seems harmless though, and I think he’s got the charisma about him that DeGale definitely didn’t. I’m not old enough to have been about when DeGale was turning pro/even in his prime but he just seemed so unlikeable in the pre-Groves fight interviews and stuff, hard to believe someone could come across so obnoxious yet so boring .

Frazer as you say needs moving. What would you say his potential is at a guess from what you’ve seen thus far? World title challenger at a push? Fringe top 10 heavy?

DeGale was straight up delusional man. I hate to sh** on a guys a achievements but that Gold medal was a complete fluke, he was never an elite amateur, never medalled in the Europeans, never made it past the first round in the Worlds, couldn’t even beat Jarrod Fletcher in the Commonwealth’s and he lost to Groves in the ABA’s. Yet he genuinely believed he was Britain’s equivalent to Floyd Mayweather.

Whittaker is way more legit than DeGale was but he is getting way ahead of himself with some of the talk. It’s always dangerous to look past your opposition and I fear Whittaker will make that mistake.

I’d probably be along the same lines as you in regard to Clarke, I doubted Joyce though tbh and he’s become a far more competent pro than I expected.

I’m really disappointed in Wasserman, they’ve got a great platform in Channel 5 and they’re just mailing it in.
