I hope Canelo tells Hearn to get stuffed unless he becomes the mandatory or beats a top-level operator. Like if by some miracle he were to beat a Morrell or Benavidez. You just know the next step-up will be an ancient Danny Jacobs or something like that. Winds me up.
If/when Canelo loses to Bivol again, I suspect Berlanga is the comeback opponent.

I don’t rate Berlanga at all, Hearn should feed him to Pacheco, he actually has potential too. Use Berlanga to help build his name.

Agree completely, I'd been thinking that's what he should do. Hearn's not ******, maybe that's the plan in some way.

      • Smith-Eubank rematch looking likely for June 17th.

I thought Eubank was gonna duck the rematch tbh.

It always seemed like the obvious option. Who were the other prospective opponents?

I thought he’d end up fighting Benn.

I thought BBBoC squashed that match-up. Now that Benn dropped his license and is supposedly suing them, they're gonna make his career as difficult as possible.

Plus, Eubank has kicked his own amount of dirt on Benn's grave, why would he give Benn the chance to put hands on him?

Eubank could’ve just withdrawn his licence. They definitely could’ve of got sanctioning internationally with the Middle East being the obvious destination. I’m glad it’s not happening though would’ve been a complete farce.

Benn needs Eubank just as much tbf. Their biggest possible payday is against each other.

Eubank doesn't necessarily need Benn though, not if he took his career seriously. An unproven WW vs. a former SMW is still ludicrous, so I'm not mad that the bout fell through. Eubank needs the Smith fight to salvage whatever reputation he has left. Hopefully Liam KO's him again and Eubank fades into obscurity.

Yeah Eubank has always been more focused on fame rather than fighting.

I hope that circus fight never happens.

I’m pretty confident Liam stops him again. I think his punch resistance just isn’t there anymore down at 160.

                    • Savannah Marshall fighting for the undisputed at 168 in June apparently. Chief support to Smith-Eubank Jr II?
