Frazer Clarke might be on the Liverpool card.

Yeah I like that fight for the summer. Yeah Masternak is decent, doesn’t do any thing special but very consistent, good fundamentals and always seems to make it tough for his opposition. I’d argue he’s Bellew’s best win tbh.

I think Liam will demand it be no higher than 160. I’m sure the deadline is today for the clause so hopefully we hear something soon.

Just a tuneup I think mate, the plan is still Taylor rematch in the summer. If they do reschedule it for like the millionth time, I’d suggest they have an opponent on stand by in case Taylor pulls out. Even if it’s a domestic guy like Ohara Davies, Ritson or Robbie Davies Jr.
Ah nice re: Frazer, you heard anything about Whittaker? Is he still injured?

Yea, as you say, Masternak is no pushover, even if he has got a lot of miles on the clock. If Opetaia's Briedis performance was a one-off we'll definitely know it against Masternak - I bet they'd have been gutted Whateley lost that final eliminator, would've been an easy domestic defence for him.

Davies-Ritson winner would make sense if that was the case, the only thing potentially scuppering that would be the fact that that could well be a WBA eliminator if I'm not mistaken? I remember OD was highly ranked. Plus we've already seen him fight Catterall and it wasn't exactly a barnstormer. If Davies Jr beat Paro, that would make a lot of sense as an interim WBO title fight.

If I'm Chris I don't do it, DAZN will probably give him a good payday to rematch Billy Joe or something. I know contrary to what Hearn says it isn't bigger than Smith II, as I've seen you mention in the other thread, but he's got infinitely more chance of beating Saunders at 168 than Smith at 160.

Not sure tbh, you’d think he’d be due back soon. Hasn’t fought since August, so surely must be nearing a return.

Yeah it’s a WBA final eliminator I believe so the winner should become mandatory. As you say RDJ makes more sense if he can beat Paro.

Completely agree, I was literally saying to my mate earlier today, if I was Eubank I’d swallow my pride regarding the Smith loss and target the Saunders rematch. It’s a much more winnable fight for him and a loss wouldn’t be as disastrous. I do think he’ll take the rematch though, I think they’ve still got their eyes on the Conor Benn circus fight.

      • Pretty sure I mentioned it a few weeks back but it’s all over social media at the moment that Metcalf will face Hogan on the Taylor homecoming undercard. Big fan of that fight!

        • AJ-Franklin announced. Mismatch IMO. Hopefully AJ just blitzes him and fights again by September.

          • Matchroom schedule finally dropped as well. The UK dates are:

            Feb 18 Wood-Lara
            Mar 11 Smith-Stepien
            Mar 18 Pattinson-Jenkins
            Apr 1 AJ-Franklin
            Apr 22 Rakhimov-Cordina
            May 20 Taylor-Serrano.

A mixed bag really, some very good fights but some headliners that without a good undercard are barely worth watching tbh.

Looking forward to Wood/Lara, Pacheco/Cullen, Cordina/Rakhimov and Taylor/Serrano 2. Next gen card will be fine as well and I'm still kinda interested in the Joshua fight, just to see where his head is at and how aggressive he is

Yeah Wood-Lara and Cordina-Rakhimov are the two standout fights for me. Very disappointed in Smith’s opponent, I’d probably rather Paro vs RDJ headline tbh. AJ-Franklin does nothing for me. Pretty sure Gwynne-Woodruff 2 will be chief support on the Cardiff show so I like the look of that card. I think Taylor-Serrano could have a good undercard too, Hogan-Metcalf and also talk of Agyarko fighting Spike O’Sullivan.

                • Seen rumours Lyndon Arthur vs Ricards Bolotniks is planned for March 24th in Bolton. Possibly for the vacant IBO world title.

Good fight. Where does this leave Craig Richards?

Was thinking the same thing. Bauderlique maybe? Matchroom like to recycle opponents.
