Who should Joshua Buatsi fight next?

Looks like he needs to work on his stamina issues and not quite ready for his title shot. Who is a good opponent for him?

I think Yarde would be a good fight. Not should if that is realistic.

He definitely needs a couple of fights before fighting the belt holders imo.

I think Yarde would be too much for him. Buatsi is not ready for top 10 guys. He should fight somebody like Salamov.

I don't think Yarde would fight him anyway. He's WBO mandatory so there's no reason for him to.

Pascal. A fight where Buatsi would have to fight measured and disciplined, utilizing his jab as a primary weapon. If Buatsi empties his gas tank and doesn't take Pascal out, then he'll be in the fight of his life. A fight that will have many explosive moments, due to their styles clash.

I'd say Yarde or Callum Smith, though they seem to be headed in a different direction so won't happen. Callum Johnson is a good fighter, that would be a good UK fight. Pascal I guess? Off the top of my head there's not that much quality in the division aside from the champs.

If we were discussing a LHW prospect who I was sure was a future champ, I'd say Vlasov is an ideal opponent. I thought he edged out Joe Smith, and is top 10 in the division, possibly top 5. But he would probably beat Buatsi.

              Anyone in the Top 10.

He's ranked in the Top 10 yet he's fought 0 fighters in the Top 10.

This is sadly a running theme in Boxing in most divisions.

Callum Johnson would be a dangerous fight.

                He’s a huge puncher.

I like Buatsi but I think he’s going to struggle picking up a title at 175.

at the moment he can fight anyone he wants, richards was a tough opponent who bivol only beat by 1 round on the cards and he passed the test. seems like a lot of people want to rush him into a world title fight so he loses but he should take his time, any of the other domestic guys would be a good opponent and plenty of money to be made.

Someone like Vlasov who’s not a massive puncher but can give him rounds.

I hope they rush him into a Callum Smith fight though cause I’m convinced Callum knocks him out.
