So Mayweather even while training probably at 40%, weighed in at 150 pounds. 150 pounds. Proves that all those years fighting at 147 pounds, he was always near enough facing bigger fighters.

The reason why I have highlighted this, is because people of late? Have been making a big deal of Alvarez facing Bivol, who probably was not even that much heavier than Alvarez.

There is also a possibility that Alvarez was bigger than Bivol come fight night etc.

Note: So even after years of retirement, Mayweather is still able to pretty much make super welterweight. If there where some lower class world champions about, I honestly think Mayweather could beat them.

If he walked around at 150-154 he would have no problem making 144. Coming in one pound under the limit was not what the contract called for, that is a meaningless observation.

If he was walking around at 150-154 he would not have needed to dehydrate himself to the extent that he has to use a banned IV. A seasoned fighter likeFloyd and his trainers would know enough not to allow him to be dehydrated. He could have easily hydrated with some pedialyte. He was flushing his system and masking drug use.

My point is/was that while Floyd fought well as he went up in weight, he never really fought a significantly bigger fighter than him. Floyd was a natural 140ish pound fighter in today's era. He didn't fight any/many guys that walked around north of 160 while he walked around about 150.

Canelo obviously did/does walk around north of 160, but that's where that weight draining issue comes in. Not to mention that he caught him early in his career. Oscar was a WW though he was probably a good 10 pounds naturally bigger than Floyd too imo.

It’s not nonsense. A fighter of his caliber doesn’t get dehydrated before the biggest fight of his life, if he only had to lose between 3 - 7 pounds. He has suspect test results in the past with his Testosterone levels out of whack and some sealed documents when he was injecting his hands. He was a drug cheat, which is why he claimed to want to clean up boxing, it was all a ploy with USADA and NSAC on his payroll.
