He has a stellar amateur record of 130-2, with his only losses coming to countryman Julio Cesar la Cruz, who won an Olympic gold medal, and Canada’s Harley-David O’Reilly, a loss he avenged. He had to be a pure talent and quick learner to amass that nice record.

Why would Benavidez fight a prospect?

And no, I don't beleive in that belt, and yes he was his mandatory, regardless of what we think of the belt, that's the way those crooked outfits operates. You can reply or not, doesn't do anything for me one way or another. Be safe
You made a pre-determined excuse that Dirrell would get demolished before the fight is even made so there's no reason for Morell to fight him, even though on paper he's the best fighter by miles that Morrell has fought. Dirrell gave Benavidez a decent fight compared to anyone else at this point and it would be a good measuring stick to see where Morrell is at because like I said he's fought nobody.

As far as Ryder he was being setup for a fight with Canelo who has the real belt that was my point. Why would you fight the secondary titlist if you could potentially face the real one?

They both have a tremendous work rate, skills, and power. Even at only 6-0, you can easily see that David Morrell is something different. His record of only having a few pro fights, means nothing. He's far from green, he can flat out fight Not saying he beats Benavidez who is easily one of my favorite fighters. But I'm not saying he can't beat him, either. All I'm saying is, if that fight ever happens, I hope to be in that arena with a perfect seat

Just off eyeball test, Morrell can beat Benavidez who is average at best. There was a thread not long ago regarding the most overrated fighter and Benavidez comes to mind.

Fkin laughable how dudes think he has a chance with Canelo lol ..

If Jose Benavidez didnt get his career derailed by the gunshot, we probably wouldnt be hearing about the average brother.

                David Benavidez = Bobby Pacquiao

David was sparring Kelly Pavlik over a decade ago. Benavidez is 24. He was giving Kelly his best work he’s ever got -his quote not mine , at age 13.

Jose was a good amateur but everyone who knew them knew David was the better pro.

morrell is probably the only one at 168 that can cause him issues.

I remember watching morrel last fight live and was really impressed. But watching it again he’s was pretty sloppy that fight. He’s got time on his side so would y mind seeing this later .

I think certain fighters can be fast tracked(like Loma). When they're that good it seems a waste of time to have 20 fights with people who can't even land a punch on him. he's a titlist so by definition he is in the mix.

You seem very threatened. If David is able to beat him so easily, then he should go ahead and do so because it's a fight of interest. A shot Middleweight in Lemieux doesn't do that. There's credit in doing it. There isn't in fighting the fighters Benevidez is.

Who cares if Benevidez has a higher numerical resume? The amount of fights you have doesn't matter. Who you fight very much does.

By the fact you're trying to push it away, you don't exactly show confidence in your guy. The complete opposite actually.
