Although the final result negated the need for scoring, Feldman needs to be calked in front of the athletic board to explain and justify his scoring. These judges need to be accountable, and sanctioned when they mess up.Comment

You indeed called it, you get a gold star. However we both know Castaņo wasn't getting a fair shake had it gone to the cards. Haymon writes a good check when it comes to his favorites.Comment

The scoring does matter regardless of a KO or not. On one hand, some judges have been out of control lately and need to have a higher level of accountability. On the other hand, they are reviewed internally but not much seems to come from it.
I had it 6-3 Charlo. He connected smoother shots, landed more combinations, showed better defense and looked to be in control. Castano will stalk you and hit you a lot but Charlo just looks smooth and slick and that's what scored points.Comment

The judging in the sport in actually getting worse and all fans should care about it. In this case the right guy won but it's another bad card from a judge who will be judging more big fights and the next time he screws up it will be in a fight that goes the distance, and he'll damage boxing some more. How are new fans ever going to get into a sport that is so often blatantly crooked?
This scorecard wasn't even the worst of the weekend, the guy who had Yoka even was worse, but we are seeing this kind of thing almost every week. UK judging has also been worse than usual over the past year, and it wasn't good to begin with.
We all know certain boxers who are very good, but who rarely pitch a shutout. At the present time a guy like that has about 10% chance of getting a fair chance if they're the B side or on foreign territory. It's why fights like Canelo vs BJS+Plant were pointless. Those guys don't go for the KO and don't dominate opponents every round, so they weren't ever getting the win. If they'd won 7-8 rounds in reality, they'd get 3-4 rounds on the official scores.Comment

If that was the case the first fight wouldn’t have been a draw and Wilder definitely would’ve won against FuryComment

Castano was consistently hit with cleaner, harder shots, all night long. He landed a few decent rights hands, maybe 1-2 left hooks and that's about all he did in the entire 10 rounds. He got dominated and his manager is smoking crack. When showtime said they had it even after 6 rounds, I gave Castano 1 round, MAYBE 2. Castano won 1 round after that when Charlo looked tired, then went back to dominating.Last edited by chicken-; 05-16-2022, 09:10 AM.Comment

115-113 on all three of the judges scorecards and he was only one round away from receiving a Draw? Seriously dude? He hardly landed any clean punches throughout the entire fight and yet all three of the judges had him sweeping the first four rounds.
However, no one ever mentions that and I am pretty sure you know the real reason why. The man should have at least 5 or 6 losses on his record by now had it not been for corrupt scoring judges.Comment
