Well that's kinda unfair to say since it was senior who was there for Floyd's first 15? fights?

Senior was tough on Floyd, Roger and Jr get along better. It was just a case of better chemistry and who feels more comfortable with. FMJ was already FMJ by the time Roger took over as head trainer.

Sr wasnt even there for Floyd when he was in the Olympics. Sr was convicted in 1993, and was in jail 5 years after.
Jr dumped him again 2 years after Sr got out.

so Sr couldnt have been there for Jr's first few fights.

its not a coincidence that fighters dump Sr after 1 or 2 fights.

he never plays to his fighters' strengths. he tries to teach them all the same way.
That is NOT the mark of a good trainer.

not from child to champion, but obviously Pacquiao. you can tell Pacquiao has made a ton of progress from his early days.

I dont think Roach is amazing, but is training is solid.

Sr's training practically hurts fighters that dont match up with him. ie, Hatton and DLH

Well I think Senior made Jr though, couldn't have been Roger. I always use to see Mayweather Sr in every Floyd sparring session. It's news to me that Roger Mayweather sculpted Floyd Jr. I gotta look more in to that.

Roach and De La Hoya were a good match. The Oscar that fought Mayweather had damn good defense and was lively and aggressive. Nacho wasn't a good match for Oscar. Nacho is too intellectual for most fighters and a lot of what he says goes right over their heads. Hence why Boxing Genius Marquez is such a good match with him.

Sr. has ruined practically every fighter he has ever trained. The man wants his fighter to do what he wants instead of letting the fighter do what they do best.
