Add in a career dealing with TWO bad hands

May will never get credit he deserves yet will always be matched up at his worst vs HOFers at their best.
When measuring how good a fighter is, they Fantasy Fight him with May

This thread is a perfect example

Maybe that's their way of showing him respect.

OP is getting railed on here but he has a point.

Floyd rarely ever fought someone naturally heavier AND rangier/taller than him.

Closest I can think of is DLH who wasn't exactly a walk in the park for him.

A tall fighter for floyd is someone like a dlh who was 5foot 9 on a good day, a ww turned light middleweight. Nelo has to fight 6ft natural lhw?
Floyd gets scared when he don't fight fighters who campaigned at WW all their career, and has to fight nelo by draining.
Floyd is calculated and not a risk taker, but I don't understand why a thread needs to be made of it. I never make Floyd threads. Might as well make a thread saying the earth is flat.

So PAC fighting a natural WW, 12 years younger in athletic prime who's unbeaten isn't a risk? Spence and Thurman didn't risk their unbeaten records. It was such a risk that it's never been done in history of the sport.
Floyd takes risks, but it's all relative. A risk according to Floyd, is a normal day at office for a PAC or nelo.

Are you talking about a Thurman who looked awful vs Josesito and a long layoff ?

I doubt Alvarez was being out weighed by 10-20 pounds on fight night. Floyd Mayweather numerous times in his career was out weighed by his opponents.

Alvarez and Bivol were similar weight in overall mass.

reading through this and other threads it dawned on me If Floyd never took risks while defeating a slew of HOFers and a few ATGS, maybe he really is TBE.

Any boxer would have to be exceptionally great to fight that resume and have some say you “never took risks”.

Unless of course posters are judging risk by being undefeated- which is weird to hate on excellence like that.

You make too much of a last performance, PAC was preparing for the best Thurman. At least we knew how good Thurman could be as we had seen it before. PACs risking fighting the best thurman.
What version of nelo was Floyd scared of? Wed not seen a version of nelo at that time who's beat GGG, Smith, bjs, Lara, fielding, kovalev?
