Dmitry Bivol has 283 amateur fights and is 31 years old with a 9-0 record in championship fights.

What Canelo lacks in the amateurs, he made up for it by fighting a ton of tomato cans early in his career. At the age of 15 years old, boxers are in the amateurs. Canelo did not have that development. His training was fighting a bunch of guys with losing records as a teen.

Canelo was 23 years old and had 7 championship fights when he fought Mayweather but he had fought only 2 top 10 ranked opponents, Ryan Rhodes and Austin Trout. Bivol had fought Joe Smith Jr, Isaac Chilemba, Jean Pascal and Sullivan Barrera. That is a better resume than what Canelo had going into the Mayweather fight.

Even when your body is mostly muscle you can still be OVERWEIGHT. THAT SLOWS YOU DOWN. He needs to go back to 168 but I doubt he will do that. He will fight again at 175.
u are right, he should have stayed at 140 and dominated

He was never 140 moron but he should of TRIED to stay as low as possible and ONLY move up when your body can no longer make weight. He still looked sharp at 168. His waist line at 175 looked too wide. No “V” shape. That means your too fat. Yea, I know I’m hurting peoples feeling on here.

At the end of his career when he was brain damaged, yes. You people are something else, will say ANYTHING without thinking if it makes any sort of sense or not.

At the end of the day, Ali lost to a green fighter with a 6-0 record. What’s your point?
