To consider Canelo's fight with Bivol a cherry pick was totally outrageous and absurd.

They already announced the ggg fight. I personally don’t like it when the cash cow announces the next fight before he wins the current one.

But I was wrong and thank god because we didn’t need another robbery.
The prefilled out scorecards are a thing, so that was hanging over the fight I get that. I was likening this fight to Oscar-Sturm where Oscar had the Bhop fight already planned. Except that Bivol seemed much better than Sturm was . It was on my mind too but even taking all of that in account, it still seemed very close.

I don't remember you being one of the guys saying Bivol was showing up for a check and looking for a place to land; in fact I remember seeing if "HBO Bivol" shows up then it's a basically a wrap so I know there was respect for him

I wasn’t that level of imbecile or hater but I thought for sure canelo would win and didn’t think Bivol would get a UD.

I was wrong. Well the judges almost proved me right. Lol.

Only one person saying and starting threads about it was silence , I think that’s his name
I might of saw 2/3 people legitimately think it’s a cherrypick
Everyone kept talking about how robotic and euro trash
Funniest of all is how they were so convinced that Beterbiev is robotic and Canelo would beat him easily lmfao
Canelo lucky he chose Bivol cause King ( that’s right ) Artur would of knocked him the fugh out

It was not a cherry pick, but Canelo pics opponents like:

            1. Can I last all 12 rounds fighting that guy?
            2. Ok, if I can, fight him, judges will give me a decision anyway.

            It works almost always.

Not really. Depends what fights they've taken. and at what level.

Lomacheko is 16-2, are you going to tell me Lomacheko is inexperienced as a pro as well?

How can it be logically plausible for a World Champion with 7 Title defenses to be inexperienced?

The way '6th weight class' was thrown in makes it appear like some Floyd/Oscar type achievement, but more so the strange circumstances of his early career
His professional weight range for the bulk of his adult career is between 154-175. 154 he's definitely not able to make anymore, and 160lb is unlikely, meaning current weight context is important

Point being I don't think 175lb is some crazy stretch for his current size. He's not small at 168. He's definitely short at 175lb, but if Bivol can make 168lb like he has claimed before, he still wins. But that goes to show that he's definitely not a cherry pick
It's still his 6th weight class though as a pro.

No different from how we do with Duran, Pacquaio, Benitez, etc all guys who were still kids when they started their pro careers.

He's pretty small at 168 IMO, he's far from big for the weight.

That's not to say I am calling Russian Malignaggi a bad fighter. He is not. But Bivol does after all have limited pro experience and zero punching power.
It was no coincidence that the Mexican plodder picked an average champion with no punch from a country in a proxy war with USA.
Everything was against Russian Malignaggi but he beat up the wild swinging ginger like he was a journeyman and somehow walked away with a decision.

                  Canelo got exposed
He's not an average champion, he does have mediocre power at 175 but it's decent enough to rock a natural 160 to 168 guy back on his heels and scared to engage him in close quarters when his corner should have been telling him we need rounds.

I've seen Clenelo and Bivol In real life. Clenelo is the naturally bigger man.

                    Cherry pick gone wrong.
