To consider Canelo's fight with Bivol a cherry pick was totally outrageous and absurd.

I picked Bivol to win because I've seem him fight several times, but Bivol was the lesser of evils that were right around the corner for a fight with Clenny on that night.
Not really. Bivol's beaten a list of top 10 guys and is clearly one of the elites of his division. They were all aware of it.

It's not even close to a cherry pick. The idea of it being a cherry pick is asinine.

Precisely. A cherry pick gone wrong

Not really what? The fact that you said Not Really to 5 points really shows you have nothing else to offer except your fanny.
          1. Not really he was rocked by Joe Smith at th end of the round and stumbled back to his corner?
          2. Not really that 19 fights at the pro level is still at an inexperienced affair?
          3. Not really how he looked average in his fights against Castillo and Richards?
          4. Not really that Bivol was the lesser of evils compared to what else was out there?
The idea that Team Canelo and DAZN thought this was a relatively safe fight for Cleneloterol is not unreasonable. It's you sir that is unreasonable.

            It was a legit challenge
6th weight class though? If we count 147, which was his younger years without an amateur run, I count 5 maximum. But that does remove some of the current context. He himself states he's naturally a 168lber now. He would be draining to get to 160. So yes he's moving up, but its really only 1 division. His height makes it appear more than what it is imo

But I agree Bivol was not a cherry pick, far from it. He's the consensus no.2 at 175. A cherry pick looks more like Liam Smith/Rocky Fielding

Started his career as a pro at 140.

Not really that they thought he was a cherry pick. The idea of an elite LHW being a cherry pick is ridiculous.

Bivol is not "inexperienced" at all. He's the #2 in the division and A world champion with 7 title defenses.

Disagree, it was a cherry pick.

Canelo and his marketing machine risk analysis approach is this:

Can I win three rounds against this guy and not get KO'd?

We saw last night he won two rounds and it was nearly enough.

I'm pretty sure that was your narrative - you basically said Bivol was going to take a dive and that cards were filled out.
