Why would he smile? No big payday for adding another knocki out to his record.

One guy deserves major respect here while the other one doesn't. I'll let you guess which is which.
It’s insulting to bring up charlo to deflect from legit criticism of canelo. Saying that he cherry-picked bivol isn’t an instil to him, the insult is to canelo. Canelo could’ve fought Benavidez himself but he chose bivol because he saw him as less risky.

I disagree. There was no one in the world that looked at how good Floyd had been performing and thought they could beat him convincingly enough to get the nod. Floyd at 36 was reflexive and on top of his game. And a loss in the Floyd era meant that you could drop from your position easily.

I think the Canelo team looked at the 175 division and decided they would want to go for undisputed. Bivol likely was looked at someone they could litmus test without getting hurt or losing on the cards. Then make a decision to move forward or not.

I think if he won and it was close or controversial…they would’ve taken a step back. But now that he outright loss…you’re going to see him take the big risk of rematching him. To my original point.

We all say we want fighters to take the risky fights. The reaction to this loss will be a test for how sincere posters really are about that.

Which big payday are we talking about , would that be the imaginary fight with Canelo , which would never happen unless Artur is in a fughin wheelchair
That one or the fact that now Beterbiev can actually unify the division

Why? You think he's going to have an easy time unifying against Bivol?

Not so long ago you told us Canelo would beat Usyk, now you want me to give Canelo a credit for losing to Bivol. the guy the most of you believed he would beat easily, lol.

It is just silly damage control.

You are making assumptions that canelo would not have fought Beterbiev had he beaten Bivol. I think he probably would have (but I wasn't sure he would get passed Bivol). If he had though Beterbiev could have looked for that payday that's gone now.

Bivol is a better boxer than Benavidez or Charlo at a higher weight class how do you figure they saw him as "less risky"?
