Have to agree. Horrible matchmaking by both Eddie's. He could have reigned at 168, he has a plethora of options there. GGG, Benavidez, Charlo...

Shouldn't have left Golden Boy. They were protecting him from himself.

AlvaRoid reminds me of Icarus, the boy who flew too close to the sun wax wings (dazn) & crashed and burned.

No he is not happy. Bivol is not as bankable as Canelo and it just killed a mega fight DAZN has been trying to make for almost half a decade with GGG to recoup all the money they lost paying both those fighters to not fight each other.

Eddie Hearn will be on his knees right now kissing bivols feet and telling him he always loved him more than canelo

I actually think Canelo should go down to 168 and defend his titles against GGG.... instead of trying to do something different against Bivol again.

No major promoter would of made this fight not Top Rank not Golden Boy you name them they wouldn't. Only Matchroom dumb enough to take the cash cow king and make him move up when there is a army of bigger fights at 168. And it's not for a new title in a new weight class you already got that with kovalev and you were planning on coming back to 168 after Bivol anyway so what was the point?

This fight was made for 1 reason Eddie Hearn had no options for fighters at 168 and pushed for Canelo 8 months for Bivol. You right Reynoso takes some blame for allowing it.

You can't go directly to GGG coming off a loss IMO takes too much luster off the fight. He needs a bounce back win at 168 fight a mandatory get the shine back then fight GGG next May. But knowing dumb Eddie Hearn he will allow Canelo to rematch bivol and lose again. He's too small for Bivol he needs to stay away from 175.

He always has the UK to fall back on, or at least he would have if not for the genius idea of leaving Sky for a ****ing upstart streaming service.

The clown has been losing purse bids to other promoters and letting his fighters go to other networks on top of that. He thinks that he could put all of his eggs into 1 basket in canelo, and it backfired. His boy AJ is going to lose to usyk as well. Hilarious...

Canelo’s a big boy, he’s perfectly capable of making his own decisions.

He wanted legacy. Good for him
