Just me that don't see Canelo winning legitimately?

Nash calls it - Canelo wins, fair and square. Nash out.I like Canelo and thought Smith would do a lot better, I picked Plant by decision. He's proven me wrong a few times but nothing that was surprising to many tbh but with Bivol I just don't see how he beats him at all without some horrendous robbery.
Maybe he proves me wrong again but I actually genuinely do not see this as a close fight.
I honestly think Bivol beats him easy, actually easy. Just completely schools him.
I don't see it as a close fight.
I'd honestly be surprised if its even competitive.Comment

I believe we will find out how much punishment Bivol can take. Fighters at this level will always manage to find a way to land shots if they have the desire to win and are in proper shape. Canelo will eventually land his shots no doubt in my mind it's just how well Bivol can take them is the question. Just my 2 cents.Comment

It is not a easy fight to predict, but? If you was to go away, and watch both fighters during recent fights. You will realize that Bivol's skill level is not super high.
The only attributes he has in this fight over Alvarez are physical strength, endurance, his movement may be a tad better. And even still I don't think he will out strength Alvarez by that much.
Bivol is not the hardest puncher Alvarez has ever faced, and he does not have the highest skill level. I think Golovkin when Alvarez faced him, was hitting with more power than Bivol.
Therefore I envision this fight going, pretty much like all of Alvarez's recent fights.
Bivol will be competitive early, but will be over exerting himself 'Both in the physical realm, but also mentally'.
As the rounds go by, Alvarez will be fighting at a methodical pace. Unaffected by Bivol's work, even if it is scoring him points.
Then there will come a point in the fight where Bivol begins to shadow box, and act all bewildered 'From this point it will just be a matter of time before he is knocked out or stopped'.
I have noticed with all of Alvarez's recent opponents, there will come in a point in the fight where they become like zombies. Floyd Mayweather would also induce this condition within his opponents etc.
Only certain fighters with specific temperaments seem to be immune to such states. The Marcus Maidana's, Ricky Hatton's, Derek Chisora's, Deontay Wilder's. Innately extremely aggressive and violent individuals.
Bivol for me, I don't think he has this temperament.
Canelo Alvarez will win this fight via knock-out or stoppage, between rounds 9-11.

Bigger, longer, better fundamentals and quicker, educated feet.
High ring I.Q, excellent distance management, 12 round stamina. Fast hands and enough pop.
I don't see a much shorter, short-limbed rather flat-footed and dare I say conservative Canelo beating him as good as Canelo is.
I also think the weight will effect his stamina even more as will Bivols size, speed, accuracy, power. People mention GGGs power a lot but being hit by a guy who is so much bigger is different even if you're partially blocking them and unlike GGG, Bivol will go to the body.Comment

The biggest puncher thing is so overplayed.
A barely 168-170lb GGG absolutely does not hit harder than a 190lb Bivol and there are different types of power. GGG is heavy handed but he's slow. Concussive puncher but he's not really going to catch you with anything you don't see coming.
Bivol is a lot faster and sharper than GGG, puts combinations together better and won't be scared to throw anything but a jab.
This is boxing, at elite level few fights are determined by power.
I think Bivols power is underrated because he is an intelligent boxer. He came close to stopping Pascal and Smith who are two big, very durable LHWs.
He has plenty of power and very good handspeed for a LHW.

Canelo is at a massive disadvantage considering the aggressive fighter never gets the same credit as the mover. I’m fully expecting cries of robbery if Canelo doesn’t KO Bivol, and idiots giving Canelo no rounds except those where he beats the sht out of Bivol. Same sht, another day.Comment

- - That's it in a nutshell, but I'd add that I see a high end boxing fight that does both proud, and cong**** for both making it for themselves and the boxing community. The biggest puncher thing is so overplayed.

Of course sissyboys on this forum started moaning when the fight was announced and will be moaning for years after words.

I think it’s very possible for Bivol to win this fight. I’m not sure if his skill alone is enough to get it done though…I think he will have to show some toughness and ferocity to ensure that he gets the win. This is a hard fight to pick who will win. Canelo seems to know how to grind down technical fighters and eventually beat them up, but Bivol should be a much bigger problem than the other guys that Canelo fought at SMW.
This is a great fight because both guys are excellent fighters.Comment
