Comments Thread For: Warren: Dubois Must Be 100%, Can't Look at Bryan as Knock-Over Job

Promoter Frank Warren has cautioned his heavyweight, Daniel Dubois, to stay very focused when facing WBA "regular" world champion Trevor Bryan. Dubois will travel across the pond to face Bryan on June 11 in Miami, Florida. The event will be promoted by Bryan's promoter Don King, who won the mandatory purse bid.

Brilliant. Hahaha. He’s been really waiting years. Poor fella. He had to go court and everything.

Not sure why Daniel is doing this. Although Frank is scarcely known for his reckless approach to matchmaking, this seems a reckless fight. To me, this is all upside for Bryan who is 32, capable but unexciting, & nowhere near a world title shot. If he wins he gets catapulted into title contender status. If he loses, he's going nowhere, which he wasn't anyway. Daniel is around 23 & has a long career ahead of him. A 2nd loss will be devastating for Daniel & may permanently derail his career.

So it was King and the WBA who wanted Dubois out for this long to give this bum a chance?

The plotting and sabotaging never ends. But this means King has dirt on the WBA that could end them if they don't comply with this grimy little toad. Frauds the lot of them.

Beating a bunch of tomato cans and then getting stopped by Joe Joyce has elevated Dubois to "Mandatory Contender" status. Only a joke like the WBA.

Good fight that Dubois must win. If he doesn’t, he may want to find a nice community college

Listen, don’t you worry about Fres, I keep telling him he needs to change his name to ‘Fresh’ Oquendo, because he has been keeping FRESH waiting for all these other suckers to quit ducking him!

You should see what he’s busting out in camp! It’s been going like this:
                • 3 rounds x 1min skipping on his daughters jump rope
                • 10 x sprints from the sand pit to the swing set at the local kid’s park
                • 3 rounds x Arm wrestling with Shannon Briggs
                • 5 mins x Oil wrestling with Shannon Briggs in his converted garage
                • Angrily scowling at a picture of Trevor Bryan on his punch bag for 30 mins at a time (for focus)
                • Mental agility exercises: 40 mins of Buckaroo every evening. With Shannon Briggs

This is the best I’ve seen him looking, and that’s why NO-ONE wants that smoke!
