And yet the last memory he left us from that fight was him running away with his back literally turned, acting the clown.

Shakur stays in the pocket, he always does, not sure why people thought he would "RUN" from Valdez lol

One Sided Ass Beatings are Never Entertaining, Valdez had NOTHING for Shakur

I hope you were being ironic there?

You're as much of a nutter as he is.

Stevenson trashed Valdez, beat the brakes off him and bloodied and reddened his face. He did it for his country and his countrymen…usa usa usa!!!

Had a guy coming at him all night and just peppered him all over and that’s it, had that one left hand as Valdez rushed in and that’s about the only flush power punch he landed. In contrast Rigondeaux was super exciting when guys came to fight.
I can see Steveson on the other side of the exchange asking, "Why are you hitting yourself, why are you hitting yourself?"

Standing in front "not running" doesn't necessarily equal exciting. Power punching, combinations, knock downs and kos are what most people want to see. Shakur is not an exciting boxer.

Fact is shakur couldn't finish valdez when he should've, just one sided victory far from exciting

He took the center of the ring because of the physical advantages he had against Valdez. Don't believe he'll be as comfortable against big punchers at 135 and above, especially when they don't have to be too leary on what's coming back in return. I suspect when he moves he"ll revert to being more defensive minded and struggle to build his appeal to casuals because of it. Kid will have a great career, probably on par with Wards as far as stardom and appeal.
                  Great assessment
