Beterbiev is the lineal champion. He beat Gvozdyk, who beat Adonis Stevenson, who beat Chad Dawson.

Beterbiev also has two belts instead of just one, and is about to fight for a third against Smith.

Beterbiev is the legitimate champion of the division until he loses or changes weight classes.

Stopped Chilemba, close fight, but nobody rly looks great aghast Chilemba even Bivol.

Looked great in his win over Gonzalez after Gonzalez beat Pascal IMO.

That's a much deeper resume than Bivol's at 175. Betebiev beat former champions, then won a belt, then unified it by beating the reigning lineal champion, and he's fighting another belt holder next.
