I like Hearn, but he's just teasing poor John Ryder with this stuff.

It couldn't get worst than fight Connor McGregor or Carlos baldomir

I know top PPV fighters don’t fight 3 times a year anymore but that would suck as a third fight. Following up such a opponent like Bivol, with GGG and Buatsi-Richards winner. That’s whack.

I’d love to see Bivol, GGG*, and then the Beterbiev-Smith winner in May 2023. Skip December, that’s not necessary, get whatever mandatory to step aside or ask for a voluntary defense or something.

if Canelo unifies 175 and decides to take a Soft Touch in December or early 2023 I would have no problem with that

looking way too far ahead let the man get past Bivol first at least I mean people are now making plans at Heavyweight for Usyk

As a Brit it'd be interesting to see Canelo fight over here. But really it should be against somebody who has some popularity and a chance of winning. Ryder is a good guy and I felt bad for him after the Smith robbery but he didn't beat Jacobs and didn't even look that good in the rounds he won. Buatsi looked good early but doesn't seem to have gone up the extra gear needed to be elite. Not writing him off, he could still win a belt, but none/very few fighters could jump from domestic-level fights to facing Canelo.

If Parker had beaten Andrade that might have worked but he's not even signed to Hearn.

Beterbiev-Smith winner has to fight Anthony Yarde.

Winner of that then should fight Canelo, if he beats Bivol and GGG.

So a stay busy fight in December isn't the worst.

That said, I think he loses to Bivol.

Personally, I like the idea of Canelo in the UK, but it should have been for Beefy or a higher profile fighter than, almost won a big fight, Ryder or stalled out Buatsi.

Where are all the canelo fans to criticize these options and say who have these guys faced and to also say who have they beat to deserve canelo?

Do these arguments only exist for canelo opponents that are considered actual threats or do we criticize all opponent options that are deemed less than worthy?

Not for nothing but who really wants to see canelo continue to beat on these domestic level Brits?

Excellent questions….where are the “who has he fought” and “they should fight each other blah blah blah”
