I like women's boxing and, tbh, I'd watch geriatrics fight if they were evenly matched, but this is beside the point I suppose..

What you're saying is the whole show, right here. Sport's parasites would sooner move into a different marketplace with the same modus operandi rather than admit **** stinks. Good comparison on the NFL.

I remember that night well. People deal with emotional trauma and personal loss in different ways. For some it gives them focus and purpose and others it derails their efforts.

It's disappointing. I don't rate Zhang highly but I was looking forward to seeing Hrgovic in against a somewhat live opponent.

Hrgovic should go back to the end of the queue.

I feel sorry for the guy but why wait until fight week to pull out?

I don’t want to be too insensitive as my parents are still alive but i am surprised he would wait this long. It happened a month ago. They may have been able to secure another IBF top 15 fighter to step in on 4 weeks notice. I don’t think any available ranked guy would turn down fighting Zhang in a final eliminator on short notice. He isn’t as young or dangerous as Hrgovic. One week is too short of notice. Zhang lost out on some good money…

Same thoughts. This was precisely the type of high-profile event that Hrgovic needed to break out and become a name in the HW division. He's still a relatively young HW at 29 yrs old, but he's squandered a great opportunity.

Hrgovic father dies 18.4.22. at 67. Obviously his sorrow is still present.
