Thats how Oyama and Dante did it in the martial arts!!! Social media would be a buzz!!!! every casual would be talking about the fight
that's a mad stunt, but anything that gets interest in the fight would be great by me, cos then at least it gets made

There's only one impediment that can possibly and potentially derail this fight and that is Terence Crawford's demands. He wants this Spence fight solely for the money. Spence wants it for his legacy and to become the undisputed welterweight champion of the world.

Spence will not be able to hit him. Bud will box his ears off.

This is not true. Bud Crawford only cares about legacy. When he fought on small cards to support his hometown of Omaha he could have been doing what spence done and had big PPVs that he didnt deserve. Spence has only fought in 1 division, Bud 3. Let's see spence go up to middleweight now.

And on that basis, there's not only never going to be enough cash for Crawford, marinating this **** for so long just looks even more ridiculous now.
This is the kind of fight that can crossover though. All it takes is the right opponent to get the casual fans talking.

Haymon and PBC may throw both guys a bone and make it hard to refuse considering it should be a massive fight for even the casual fan

Yeah, but is it massive for casuals, though? If they were forced to watch, they'd probably enjoy themselves, but I honestly doubt these guys know who either of them are

The right matchmaking can capture popular imagination, true, but are these really the guys to do it?

Seriously now, either of these guys fight Jake Paul or some other no mark 'celeb', and it sells like crazy. I bet if you asked 100 ordinary ppl if they knew who Crawford was, though, you'd struggle to get 6-7 to say 'yeah'

They both need the fight. Bottom line at this point nothing else really matters. Crawford could move down be undisputed at 140 again move up and be undisputed at 154 at the same time. Spence could move up too. Regardless Crawford vs Spence is the best there is, I got Spence breaking Crawford's orbital bone in the 11th for the TKO. Big Spence fan but Crawford is scary good, just don't think he is big enough.
