Shakur Stevenson vs Tank Davis 135

I think stevensons jab would give tank issues but definitely would be the best southpaw match up since Loma/Rigo

Intriguing matchup. I think Shakur would outbox him for long stretches but I think there'd be a point when Tank's power changes the complexion of the fight and I'm not sure how Shakur handles it. He hasn't been in a situation like that i can recall so I'm not sure how he handles it.

I don’t think Tank’s team would have the stomach for it. I don’t know yet about Shakur’s.

Tank for the smash up. Stevenson doesn't throw nearly enough and Tank is fast enough to catch him on the way out.

It be an interesting matchup. Shakur would still benefit from the physical advantages he had last night but Tank is more explosive, more power in both hands and a better counterpuncher than Valdez so it's isn't a foregone conclusion Shakur can safely box his way to victory. From the way Oscar was able to land on Shakur at times last night, counter rights and consecutive multiple jabs, all of the big dogs at 135 will give him all he could handle imo,not just Tank.

Shakur beats tank handily. He would beat the winner of haney/kambosos as well. He is the most polished and skilled of the bunch of 130-135 ibers.

Remember though tank fought Mario Barrios who is 5'10" and now a full fledged welterweight, so hes proven he can overcome a size difference

Shakur looked good last night against a worn out Valdez. Valdez accepted defeat even before the bout started. Overall, fight was nothing much. That's not what Shakur is looking at in a peak prime Davis. Shakur needs to work for that shot. He's also an Arum fighter, so I don't expect it for a long while.

I'd rather see Davis-Zepeda if Oscar and Floyd can work together.
