Oh, they forget so quickly, don't they? And you're right....Thurman would be the best fight for both guys. These Spence fans are in a stupor and refuse to believe facts. Spence's best win is against Porter...the same guy that Crawford stopped. Porter hadn't lost since he fought Spence, whom some believe should've walked away with a close decision.
Kell Brook? Golovkin beat him up just 8 months prior to Spence facing him....this man had to get orbital bone surgery and all. People also act like Brook wasn't struggling to make 147 back then, though he was still champion. Brook hadn't lost a fight in what, 3 years before facing Crawford? So, if a Brook win is good enough for Spence, then it should be good enough for Crawford.
Keith Thurman lost what, one fight? Against Pacquiao. 3 years ago. Why are people still holding that against him as though he's some bum? Spence can be out of the sport for over a year....as unified champion...talking **** on social media....injured and all (from drunk driving)...and people praised him. Thurman nurses injuries while unified champion...he's considered a "duck."
How many times has Spence fought since 2017 after becoming champion and unifying? 6 times in 5 years. Thurman has fought 7 times since 2015 (6 of those were title fights). They both became unified champions but Spence just happens to have one more belt than Thurman had during his reign and they've fought roughly the same amount of fights as champions.
Again, people forget so quickly. And the truth is, a Thurman fight only strengthens Crawford's resume at this point since Spence and his goofy fans have written off Thurman as a form of "get back," though Spence denied it. That's exactly what's happening- his fans are allowing him to duck a once-beaten and former unified Welterweight champion. Pathetic.
Think about it...if, let's say Bootz gets in there against Keith...what would the boxing world be saying? "He (Boots) is facing the once-beaten, former UNIFIED Welterweight, Keith "One Time" Thurman!" It would be SUCH a big deal for Ennis....but why not Spence? Would you rather him face the O'Campos of the world, or a former champion with a stellar record?
